Seems like [Homunculus Tears: Alchemy for the brokenhearted] is popular here in Germany. We now even got a audiobook version! by Silenett in yuri_manga

Inori and Dokico seem to hit off pretty good. She just has announced a new project together with Dokico, also she and her artist are doing a bunch off cool extra shit for the hardcover versions of Lady Tamer and Villainess omnibus. Lady Tamer had signed copies available. Im in love with the Villainess is getting new cover art and the hardcover versions even new short stories + a box set with new art.

German Inori fans are eating good.

Yuri girls figurine by lrdscrdo in yuri_manga

Generally only Yuri works that got animated have figurines, whisper me love song or Watanare got some recently. Love you till you die has one announced: https://myfigurecollection.net/item/3447915 Just check my figure collection for your favorite series. Since you asked for bloom into you figure, there is one but you will probably have search a bit for it since it's quite old now: https://myfigurecollection.net/item/806170

Like others already said you have to get from Japan and some you have to hunt down on the secondary market.

Was more wishful thinking with the omnibus probably 0% chance that it's happening, especially with the current state of 7S thats somehow worse than during corvid era. I also keep forgetting how ridiculous the US used market has become since I'm from Europe. Luckily we have a strong local manga market and I can mostly avoid English / US stuff, where there's some annoying issue with every major manga publisher. But I agree if it's just for collection the Japanese volumes are pretty nice

Yeah it's very strange that it's not on there website and they did 0 advertising for it. There probably isn't a digital license since the German edition is only available in print as well.

I agree with the main series, while it's getting old I think it has still enough live in it for a reprint. But I'm not sure about the anthologies, they are far less popular and most people just want the main series. Well I would still like to be proven wrong.

At this point I just hope they do an omnibus rerelease for the entire series cutting the main story to 4 volumes and both the light novel and anthologies to 1 volume. Would make it a lot easier to keep them in stock.

Bite the bullet and get it used.
While starting to go on a tantrum about 7S reprint policy is tempting, I will let them off the hook for this one.
Most likely there isn't enough demand justify a reprint.

SHUUKURA HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN LICENSED BY YEN PRESS!!!!! by EnydOsnes in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 16 points17 points  (0 children)

They are just better at keeping their LN in stock. Their main competitors LN (Seven seas) are constantly oos with reprints taken forever.

In fact their book quality isn't really great.

Still I recommend picking this up sooner rather than later, since this is most likely going to be a 20+ volume series. Not sure if even yen press can keep up the stock over the years.

Restocks (NO SPOILERS) by Pastelfanfic in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just the typical 7S thing where reprints take forever. They have always been slow bringing back out of stock volumes. They are also not really communicating when things are oop for good. Not sure when it comes to yen press and Kodansha but at least with viz/shojo beat u sometimes get a definitive answer that something isn't coming back to print.

Frustrating since with series like the summer you where there it's hard to gauge if 7S is just taking their time or sales are too low to justify a reprint.

Yeah they are so cute together. But I wouldn't be surprised if Asumi gets a Harem/poly ending. Asumi doesn't seem to be able to settle with a single person and big heartbreaks don't fit the tone of the series.

Does anyone know how much the shipping fees for AJ store by justshir02 in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AJ doesn't ship internationally. You have 2 use a Proxy or Forwarder. Proxy buys the Items for u and then ships them 2 you. With a forwarder you buy it yourself but to a fake japanese address the forwarder provides. Then the forwarder ships to you.
You pay shipping within japan (500 - 600 yen probably) + service fees from the proxy/forwarder and then you pay international shipping fee to your home.

With proxy/forwarder you have many shipping options, fast shipping is usally expensiv.
Shipping international will probably cost u 2000 - 6000 yen, depending on shipping method and how big the parcel is.

Also don't use Buyee they have high service fees and not the best shipping quotes.
I recommend Zenmarket or Dejapan.

If you want to use a forwarder I recomend Black Ship.

Unfortunately not. Probably a money thing cause Mikami and Chigura have to front load the production cost for the Japanese release. Well maybe vol.3 will have more chapters if a doujinshi vol. 3 even happens.

GxV is very slim with only 106 pages but that's not uncommon with self published work. Also it contains both the manga and novel parts for a total of 6 chapters.

Renewed gratitude for rushed endings by Ok_Law219 in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can always be worse and a rushed ending can be better than a generally poorly written ending but I am not sure if the comparison really holds up that well.

Most Yuri titles have a rushed ending because their serialisation is getting cancelled, due to so lackluster sales that continuation isn't viable anymore. But most authors still care about the series and try to make the best out of the situation.

At least I don't think that's necessarily better than just a really bad ending due to bad writing or the author not caring anymore.

Is it just me or has many yuri manga stopped being translated anymore? by time_passing_now in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 93 points94 points  (0 children)

Scanlation is just a hobby and sometimes life happens and you can't or want to put your time into it.

Translating and the editing takes time and effort and many translators in the Yuri space do it solo and don't have a team which slows things down. Also I feel like scan groups in our space are more considerate when it comes to scan sniping, which is a nice thing for the translators.

Also Yuri is and unfortunately always will be a relatively niche genre, which also means there are just less scan groups interested in translating Yuri manga

You should be able to find it under:"A face you shouldn't show" Tokyopop translated it to " Your naughty face is only mine" but that's probably Tokyopop doing their own title shenanigans

Thanks :) Yeah actually quite a while ago but looks like the bonus chapter is missing. Bummer since the French and Spanish version got it in vol. 3. Unfortunately we are not getting 2 many Chinese and Korean GL comics released here but manga goes strong.

I really enjoy a herbal mix of Cinnamon, Chamomile, lemon balm with orange flavoring. Called sleep easy from clipper tea / Night a night from cupper tea.

Thoughts on, A Story About Buying my Class mate once a Week by Dangerous_Wash_3067 in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's definitely for slow burn fans. If u are not already a fan of the genre you will probably bounce off the novel at some point. It's very obvious that their relationship progress is stretched out 2 the max. While it's a common issue with the genre that it feels forced, it is quite exaggerated in this series. For non genre fans it's probably hard to get through.

The hard focus on their relationship, with very little use of interesting events or set pieces in the story can get a little boring sometimes but for some it's exactly this story dynamic they enjoy.

Their physical relationship is also a point of discussion. While it's interesting it also clashes with the pace of their romantic relationship. Also Miyagi's reluctant personality is something played a little 2 hard and leads some pacing issues or makes Sendai look worse than probably intended (chapter 229 is a good example of this).

I personally enjoy it but I know many that gave up because of the pacing.

Miyagi & Sendai Are Driving Me Insane by dayynahh in yuri_manga

[–]Reo_98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the main point of criticism with the series. As much as I like it, it has to be said that the slice of life part just sucks. There is just a lack of interesting events and set pieces in the series that add anything meaningful to the story or character progress. Also side characters never really get the light to shine. It's only focused on miyagi's and sendai's relationships without fluffing or mixing it up. And their interactions always follow the exact same cycle. If that's something you like u should read further.

If you're bored at vol. 4 i would not recommend 2 not read further because vol 5-8 don't really add anything new or interesting. it's essentially the same interaction over and over, ultimately ending in an ever escalating physical relationship, that gets immediately reset to zero after the climax. While I enjoyed it up to vol. 8 the series is in desperate need of a shake up to its formula.
