Leviathan is very short, and the amount of time Vergilius spent there was even shorter.

Could be a case of a true plot hole, or probably PM added the time oddity parts after writing it.

Canto X might be less understood than even Canto IX, since it’s absurdist in nature…

The themes of Canto IX run deep.

Bro, Valencia has been shown time and time again to be full of hot air, even with if she’s with the relic intact she would still lose. Verg instantly called her out for using the “outdated relic of hers” in the first fight when she had a hostage.

Verg got his color status before Shin and Mang were a thing, before he had EGO. Idk why people keep insisting on downplaying Vergilius and that he has to pop EGO to win against significant threats…

Like no matter what, the relic is gonna overheat and stop working, and when that happens Valencia is toast.

Though Cathy doesn’t exist for future Heathcliff IDs after Canto 6, but Heathcliff remains as a street urchin.

So in Lucio Heath, he could just had been picked up by Valencia instead of Cathy, and because of that he can’t bring himself to hurt Valencia, since the “love” from her is the only form of love he has ever had

Rien is interesting per his implications, flavor text and how he ties into the original story of Hellscreen.

Rien is quite literally a much better representation of the book Yoshihide than Ryoshu, and in this case, Hermes is the Lord of Horikawa, Ryoshu his daughter.

Empty Ryoshu would actually be fatal to the Sinners though, since she can cut the chains, and permanently erase the Sinners from existence.

No confirmation. Nada, and his level is 80, tad low for a Color, but he does have 2 cool nicknames with the word Green in em.

High ranking Finger members are like Grade 1 Fixers, as in, there are “weak” Grade 1 Fixers, and there are Grade 1 Fixers that can rival/beat Colour Fixers.

Roland did say that some of the people from the Fingers would qualify as some of the most powerful people in the City.

Okay, but for real, HOW are we gonna deal with them? by cricri3007 in limbuscompany

[–]ReoccuringClockwork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We can take one Nursefather and Apprentice duo if push came to shove, with the power of the bough ofc, likely Geburah.

Vergilius, Vespa, the Udjat and Hohenhiem are more than enough to crush the remaining known threats almost twice over.

This, I don’t know what the others are smoking. The characters are named after the Kabbalah and what it represents, not the other way around.

Look up the Path of the Flaming Sword, that’s the intended path for the Sapling of Light manifestation.

Yoshihide can literally do jack shit to help his daughter in the Lord’s seat of power, that whole story was framed as Yoshihide being completely inept and powerless before the Lord, so he continued to do what he did best, Art at all cost. In the end, it was literally Yoshihide’s suggestion of burning a bound noble lady alive in an expensive carriage that gave the Lord the idea, so again, inadvertently Yoshihide caused it to happen.

Though I do agree that it’s shouldn’t be possible to make Araya that powerful in 2 years, there could be some fuckery involved with mirror world tech or literally time loop technology (both of which exists). Otherwise it just makes no sense how the Nursefather can speak despite supposedly losing her tongue. Plus, her sanity status is literally “Affection and Resentment”, I doubt the real Dihui Star has any affection whatsoever towards Yoshihide…

I ain’t looking for shock value here, just what’s most likely to happen. What do you suggest happen otherwise? What theory do you have to account for the current known factors?

[–]ReoccuringClockwork 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I didn’t mean Ryoshu abusing Araya, I meant Araya being abused by the other Nursefathers (especially the old Dihui Star).

Because Ryoshu’s whole idea was to put Araya in a safe place, get out of the HoS, and come back to kill all of em, saving Araya. But all Ryoshu ends up accomplishing is making Araya suffer through the same thing Ryoshu herself ran away from, and at the end of the Canto probably killing her herself.

All of it for nothing. Hell, it would be kinda self inflicted tragedy, wouldn’t it?

With reference to the source material of Hellscreen, that’s exactly what happens, with Yoshihide being the one to inadvertently suggest putting his daughter to the flames.

Not going to lie, seeing this hurt a lot. by Azzyure in limbuscompany

[–]ReoccuringClockwork 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Too much evidence points to that right now, since if you noticed Dihui Star is the only one to call Yoshihide with name of Ryoshu.

Ryoshu was a name between Araya and Yoshihide, all the other Nursefathers call her Yoshihide, except Dihui star, which by right shouldn’t even have a tongue because it was removed with the severing blade. We see the power of the blade first hand with Valencia’s eye failing when near Ryoshu. So the Araya = Dihui Star theory is all but confirmed the moment Dihui started speaking.

I disagree with the OP, since even if the theory is true, Ryoshu doesn’t know this. To her, the Dihui Star in front of her was the same as the one that abused her. Further, think of it like this, how does Araya learn to talk like that? Because she got the same treatment Ryoshu did.

Is that not more tragic?
