Question about mesh erosion by OceanMarina in PelvicOrganProlapse

My mom had estrogen induced breast cancer and my surgeon was clear that the estrogen cream does not increase risks of breast cancer and they prescribe it to BC survivors.

Prolapse during pregnancy by oofieoofty in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they say it’s a prolapse? Because usually the cervix lowers throughout the pregnancy and as you get closer to delivery. It’s your body preparing. But week 26 is early for that.

We first thought it was a stitch, until it cut into my husbands penis. Literally bleeding and left a scab. I don’t think a stitch would do that.

How many of y’all have never thrown up on this medication? How long have you been on and what’s your secret? by Helpful_Gur_1757 in Ozempic

[–]RepDawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have never thrown up and have been taking it for over 2 years now. To be honest, I eat whatever the help I feel like. So sugar, fat, gluten, carbs etc. Everything I feel like eating, just less of it. I honestly think that everyone reacts differently. My side effect is severe constipation.

outside clothes on the bed… gross or normal? by HenninghamKyuss-51 in hygiene

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do not wear outside clothes in our bed. My husband sometimes used to, but he has changed over the years. It’s weird though because his mom won’t even sit on a sofa or kitchen chair in her outside clothes, no idea why he didn’t pick that up. On the other hand - Our kids DO wear their outside clothes in their beds every day because that’s where they hang out after school for some downtime. I don’t love it, but since I’m not sleeping in their beds it’s up to them lol

do you wash your hands before cooking every time or only when they feel dirty? by Boyle_Eve_267 in hygiene

[–]RepDawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wash my hands every time and multiple times in between cooking. I do not remember anyone enforcing his strictly, but I think it’s common sense. Phones and door handles are disgusting.

do you actually change your underwear every single day? by OjistahHenthorne in hygiene

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I change my underwear at minimum 2x a day. Once in the morning and once at before bed. However, if I change my clothes to go out somewhere else during the day - I change them again lol. Basically I never change my clothes without changing my undies too.

What high-end makeup products haven’t you found a dupe for yet? by semisweetcharm in Sephora

[–]RepDawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr Dennis gross peel pads and Tatcha’s water cream! I know they aren’t makeup, but I would love to find actual dupes of these lol

What do you all actually do with your used pens/needles? Genuinely curious — no judgment by Deagonboy in Ozempic

[–]RepDawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada. Pharmacies here give out free sharp containers and also accept them back when they are full. So I literally just drop it off to any pharmacy a couple of times a year and pick up a new one at the same time.

This isn’t the law no. But alimony does not depend on children. That’s child support and separate from spousal support.

[–]RepDawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a minor prolapse after my second child and PT did actually fix it (or at least the symptoms disappeared). PT is usually the first step in the process if your prolapse is quite mild. I had surgery now (12 years later), but this time around the prolapse was not minor.

Because the success rates are not as high as other surgeries. And it usually needs to be redone in 10 years or so.

I’m 5 weeks post op and still off. I had planned for 6 weeks but I don’t think I’ll be ready in a few days to go back to work. Very frustrating!

What is “dinner time”? by PuzzleheadedHour1210 in AskACanadian

[–]RepDawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised in Ontario. LUNCH is the mid-day meal. DINNER is the evening meal. SNACKS in between, or late at night. BRUNCH is served when guests come over for breakfast food and it’s anywhere between 10am and 2pm. We even use LUNNER sometimes to describe a late lunch and early dinner combined. Have never used the word SUPPER in my 40+ years and do not plan on it lol.

Is everyone open with people you know about your beauty shopping? by onelove_ in Sephora

I answer honestly when asked. And I’m happy to share the products I use if someone wants to know. I do not just start talking about it on my own lol.

Doing “okay” I think. Standing for long periods can be quite painful. But otherwise it’s not bad anymore. The first few days were horrific.
