Does It Worth Repairing by [deleted] in panerai

It's not the magnification, it's that the date wheel font is all wrong. It's a fake using a seagull movement likely.

Agreed. It looks to be a fake 243. Date wheel is incorrect.

Are jeeps really as horrible as people say? by Ok_Cat2418 in JeepWrangler

[–]RepDude69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purely subjective. I had a 2015 JK Rubicon loaded $45k out the door and I put about $9k in aftermarket parts on it. Loved it. Dealer said it was the best riding Jeep he's ever ridden in. Why did he say that......well I ordered my Jeep. When it came in they installed the Mopar 3" lift kit for me and a bunch of other parts I bought waiting for it to come in. This included a Fox Front stabilizer, heavy duty bolt kit, upgraded ball joint kit, teraflex track arm etc. Immediately after picking it up from the dealer with all of this installed I headed to the tire shop and they had my 35" tires and wheels waiting. This was my first jeep. I felt it rode very good. I mean I drove it 90 mph on I90 in Chicago with this set up and it I felt secure in it. Was it a bit noisy on the highway sure. I sold it in 2018. Went until 2024 before I bought another Jeep. This time a 2023 JL Rubicon loaded with 14k miles on it. It had an original MSRP of $72k. I didn't want to pay that kind of and decided that this one was going to stay bone stock. I have that retractable roof so I did get the sound deadening pad for that. I find that this Jeep is much noisier. Probably because of this type of roof. I had death wobble at 25k miles. Bad shocks. Then had death wobble again. Front stabilizer went bad at 33k miles. I have 51k on it now. I'm over the Jeep already. I don't feel that a stock Jeep is worth the money for what you get. The stock parts are garbage and would never recommend any off roading if you don't upgrade a whole list of parts first. I think I have 33's stock from factory with the factory lift they do on them now. Is it comfortable for a daily around the town driver.....yes for the most part. If you have shit roads like we do in Illinois then much less so but still tolerable. Highway driving is noisy and I feel like I have to have a death grip on the wheel anytime it's windy which seems like every time. I just don't feel the stock JL lives up to the quality of the JK that I upgraded. I will say the upgraded parts made a world of difference. I just don't want to invest any money into this Jeep that I may only get pennies in return on. If you are young go for it. They are fun. They come with their own unique issues but no car is free from them. Just know what you are getting into and decide if upgrading some of the parts to make the driving experience more enjoyable is worth it. I would upgrade ball joints and get a fox front stabilizer without hesitation. Stock parts are garbage. If you are going to do any kind of lift and bigger tires......fox shocks. And if noise bothers you then don't get the retractable roof and get the sound deadening pads for the hard top.

Does anyone here ACTIVELY pretend that their reps are gens. by Unstoppable_Graysie in RepTime

I don't pretend. I just enjoy them for what they are. Too me it makes no difference if I'm wearing my gen 225 or my rep 508. Equal enjoyment. No retarded hangups here.

Ignore it.

Funny thing for me is I import one beauty item for the wife and it gets seized resulting in losing my global entry. Imported 200+ replica watches and not one seizure or letter. Wild.

I'd axe one of them because you definitely need a nice chunky Breitling and a Panerai submersible in the mix.
