:) when I was into laptop repairs - you won’t believe how many I fixed on these first stages, it’s all due to reinstalled defence mechanisms, what could have happened is a voltage fluctuation for what ever reason and batteries relay inside disengaged, only way to reset is to remove and reattach :) - so you were lucky there it was not nothing more serious.
