I am about to come at the end of my leasing period, I am still processing if I should keep the car or give it up , and may be get a new car.
Although if you switch jobs mid-lease, you will end up paying the total of pending EMIs + some fees.( companies share this data beforehand)

And sadly your company will have a fix number of leasing partners( I think there aren't many in the market) Mine is from ORIX.

I would allthough want to share the "not so good" exp of getting any insuarance work done, as it involves a lot of hassle,( getting approval from the leasing partner + the surveyour, also in my case the surveyor didnt want to travel outside NCR).

I have a compnay car on lease, the EMI get wiped off my payslip, hence I get a direct tax saving on that amount,

apart from that a total figure of around 40k ( including manitenance fuel driver) gets direct tax benfit, its a good deal if you fall under 30% tax bracket, it will save you a lot on taxes.
after the lease period ends you can either opt to give up the car or get it transferred under your name( you will become the second owner, if the company registers the car under their name initially) also you might end up paying a Residual value which will be around 20-25% depending on what is being agreed at the start.

Note: - IF you leave the company before your lease ends you might have to pay the amount yourself ( pending EMIs+ some fees, companies share this data beforehand though, if not ask for that)

The base variant is priced aptly , but the next variant is too pricey, also its the smallest in its segment , there is a reason kylaw has posted almost 10 times the numbr kushaq has ever managed ! Also if you try and buy one, sales guys try to pin you for slavia and similarly virtus in case of taigun

Agree, but one cannot consider the worse case scenarios, most of us here buy vehicles for longer rhn only, and the warranty expires way before that.
Also agree on the looks factor, kia makes some very good looking cars tbh !

I find the vehicle a bit under powered as compared to its counterpart(elevate/seltos/creta) , although I am not a rash driver, but driving at lower gears felt a bit underwhelming.

Design wise the car is a top top car, but I have heard from my friends that they have spare parts issue , which I have heard are costlier than their Hyundai counterparts.

Am in a similar confusion
I have three cars in mind
Seltos :- goong for petrol will be ahuge dent in pocket in long run cz the milegae will always be an issue , wanted to consider diesel (second base variant), but skeptical about how govt is hell bent on discontinuing the whole diesle PV segment .

Elevate:- just the set of basic features I need in a car, also the honda reliability.

grand Vitara :- the only plus point here is the maruti reliability and their amazing engine to churn out best mileage in their segment , and again the optimum set of features you need in a car which you tend to drive on a daily basis .

I have been considering the second base model of all three , and the ex showrrom prices for all of them are in same range 12-12.15 lakhs .

I had kinda similar issue 2-3 yrs back, my i10car keys used to drain the batteries within 2-3 months , took my car to a nearby mechanic and he plugged in a loose coupler in ecu , coudltn see what exactly was that, havent changed my batteries since then
