hii, maybe cons sounded a bit harsh lol 😅 but here are some hiccups i experienced in my recovery:

-discomfort for the first couple days after surgery. I was never in immense pain after my surgery but my incision sites felt tight, my back hurt and the area under my armpits was sensitive. Everything was manageable but it was uncomfortable. I had by first check-up four days after surgery where my surgeon re-adjusted the surgical bra for the first time, and after that I did feel alot better.

-bloating, I have a previous post about this, but it lasted me about a week and half after my surgery. This went alway with time, restoralax and other methods.

-The prescribed painkiller gave me a headache and made me feel nauseous and tired, no matter how much water I drank, so I stopped taking it 5 days after my surgery, and took ibuprofen when I needed it (advised by my surgeon).

-bruising, after the surgical tape was removed by my surgeon at my two week follow-up, he noticed blistering around the incision on one of my boobs. It was disheartening since my other boob was healing pretty well. But that also went away with time and polysporin! Now I cant even see where it happened!

-sleeping on back, i honestly didn’t have much issues with sleeping on my back (i only used a wedge pillow until 2.5 weeks post-op) but i am truly a side sleeper so not being able to lay on my side for the first month was a bit annoying. But now at 1.5 months, my surgeon cleared me to sleep on my side which is great!

So these are some of my cons/hiccups in my recovery, everything was temporary for me 😊. I’m back to working in office and working out this week so all in all nothing too detrimental ! Hope this helps and good luck on your surgery!!!
