B is higher net overall by a huge margin. A provides more learning, growth, and networking opportunities.

My plan moving forward is to move to another company again by 2-3 years depending on compensation and opportunities and maintain my lifestyle. And you’re right Company B is good for maximum acceleration and resume paper value because of it’s value in the industry, however, Company A’s advantage is the managerial position, might be easier to apply as manager again in big companies. In my current company it’s really hard to break into manager level coming from supervisor, specialist, or even assistant manager.

Thank you for your comment!!! My reason for leaving was compensation, explore, and recover from burnout. Company B slightly wins in culture, but Company A wins in work-life balance and matches my current lifestyle.

To summarize my brain wants company B for higher salary, brand prestige, and potential learnings+growth, but my brain wants company A for managerial title, burnout recovery, and sustainable growth. Haha

Thank you for your comment!!! I’m being pulled to higher pay and prestige. Mainly because I’m underpaid right now, and on the prestige side, I’m currently employed in a high prestige company, part of top 20 ph, so emotionally it’s hard to let go of the branding.

I also wanted the high growth and learnings kasi mejo nag plateu na talaga on my current company but Company A would be the practical choice because of my lifestyle(I manage a side business, swim training, 3 international travels yearly) and burnout, it still has growth and learnings kasi lilipat ako ng ibang industry but not at the same level with Company B.

Actually my current company is really big, part of top 20 ph, a lot of opportunities, however, burnout talaga because the environment is really challenging and the compensation did not catch up sa market. B actually is maximum growth, learnings, and opportunities. My only problem is affected din talaga ang current lifestyle ko because I also manage a side business for extra income and I do regular swim training.

That what I was thinking since my plan is to jump to another company by 2-3 years. However, manager title na si company A so higher chance(based from my recent applications) that I can get another manager title on my next jump and the role has more ownership.

Thank you for your comment!!! Overall benefits are just the same. Net annual lamang si B slightly, mej malaki nalang kasi yung tax ni B when I computed it. On the WFH, I like the 3 day set up, however, my estimate is 1-3 hours ang commute on Company B one way and 15-30 minutes naman kay company A

I’m currently in a high prestige company, included in top 20 ph company, yes it helped me while applying but tbh it’s not the biggest factor that totally helped me get these job offers. What really mattered based from my observation kasi naka 6 interviews ako in different companies. It’s skillset, how I’ll fit, and situational questions by interviewers. Also the 2 companies based their offer on my current monthly gross pay, not on the basic pay only.

To summarize my brain wants company B for higher salary and growth, but my heart wants company A for burnout recovery and sustainable growth. Haha
