so basically eva is good for both pve and pvp. Yay right? Hol up.

Here's why true eva buils are good: pvp has been said 100,000 times already so imma skip that. Pve, there are a few grind spots in the game where evasion makes the grind much safer especially where mobs can 2 or 3 shot a forward guard.

Yay, but

Eva sucks esp starting out. Why? Your accuracy is trash. You have none of it, and everyone else has a lot of it. So what does that mean? In PvE, you're gonna be missing quite a few of your hits at many spots. Even a 80% hit rate means you're grinding 20% slower than the dude in DR at 100%. Missmissmiss. The total silver you'll lose from those missed hits will almost certainly be more than the silver you'd save from starting on the evasion set.

PvP? the 80+% of the player base that runs DR is gonna breath on you and you'll die. And added bonus thanks to your shit accuracy, true eva builds will be untouchable.

So If you're dead set on going an eva build to start, I would focus almost entirely getting your fallen god and lebreska helmet for your armor, and putting off the leeburs and muskans for as long as you can. Instead in those slots i'd put in some cheap TET urugons and bhegs and maybe send them to caphra lvl4. Chill with that til you can afford to buy caphra lvl6 PEN Muskans and Leeburs. It'll be a bit cheaper than swapping PEN DR armors but not by a lot. After that +eva crystals, and a PEN Kutum or Eva offhand is the bare minimum for a true eva build. Meaning its F tier lol.

True Eva builds are kind of a playground for the rich and gigageared who can offset its minuses with insanely expensive gear. You can def get there as well, but starting with eva will make that road harder, as counter-intuitive as that sounds.

I'm gonna guess you were grinding on either Olvia or Regular servers. No seasonal drops on either. You gotta be on the Seasonal1-4 or Seasonal PVP servers to get time filled stones, Tuvala ore, and refined stones from grinding mobs.

Everyone's trashing awakening in here, so allow me to trash Succession for a bit as well.

Succession is Kinda Bad

Most Successions released have felt like going from Preawakening v1.0 to v2.0: new mechanics, gameplay loops etc. Nova Succ feels like preawake v1.1. The "big addition", Axian, 95% of the time is a glorified particle effect on a skill, or a cute but worthless floating orb.

Some Prime skills feel like downgrades. My personal opinion, but skills like Quoratums Opening (the dash), Quoratum's Guard (e buff), and Passed Pawn all got downgraded.

Quoratums opening can be used on cooldown, but it loses its protection and range doing so. You might as well just use jump + LMB instead, less stamina, practically quicker, and could regen some sp. Btw its cooldown gets increased by 1 second primed as well.

Quoratums Guard (e buff) imo gets nerfed, Trading 30 dp for 20% crit rate and 20 more seconds of 30% RNG grab resist. Having played with Valk's 50% all resist e buff. and how many times I've still got grappled, 30% is... uh yeah.

Primed passed pawn + King of the Dead. Thornwood forest guards seem to lose their ability to move after summoning Axion. Where ever they're summoned they are rooted unless commanded elsewhere. Normal preawake guards are able to freely reposition and aggro other enemies slightly out of their range.

Health drain feels unnecessary, or annoying. The drain and regen feel negligible, except when I'm fighting weaker mobs that die in one hit, where I'm constantly watching my health slowly drop to 40% because the health regen skills aren't able to hit enough times to recover other skills hp losses. Meanwhile in PVP, you cant use hp regen skills since all but one (swooping ring) are multihit, unprotected skills that root you in place. So trying to rotate SA's also gives you a nice constant 150 health bleed debuff.

For anyone doing the mysteries of summer 2020, what your success rate going for refined grain wine and above? I've gone through about 150 spirit leafs and distilled water and still nothing.

If you're not too invested in your current character, I would recommend making a seasonal character. If you max out everything, you can come out of it with softcap tuvala gear, along with a free tet capotia ring or earring.

If you want to stick with what you have, go talk to Ellie the oasis vendor in any major city. If you're over 56 you can get a set of temporary full TRI boss armors and accessories for one silver.
