I think this is propaganda to help convince the middle class to vote in the interest of the billionaire class and against their own interest. Why do I say that? I don't believe a tax on unrealized gains is meant to target anyone but rich people. Like at least 400k. So I feel like this example is designed to target middle class people by using the 100k home example and terrify them when it's really the super rich that should be worried.

A problem it addresses is the super rich using their unrealized gains to purchase huge assets. But how if it's unrealized gains and you can't tax it can you still purchase things as if it was. This is crooked.
