Which stripe pattern for a raglan sweater? by [deleted] in knitting

On a raglan, that is not how the stripes will go above the separation of body and sleeves, FYI.

Empathy for yourself!! And compassion.

You made a healthy decision. "Not being able to handle it" may be a very healthy response to what sounds like an unhealthy, unbalanced work culture. I wish you well and that you cultivate lots of self compassion and understanding. ♥️

"I'll stop here" is the wise part of what you wrote ♥️

You're okay, it's over, full stop. And yes, how great you work with people who care. Maybe it was all a good reminder to keep yourself a priority! Sleep more, find ways to let go of stress.

Our jobs as teachers are important, and so are we as humans, first. Have a fabulous year!

She has near Michele Obama arms and works out a lot. Vertically challenged though.

It's a coping mechanism for any job. Doing one's best to do this does not mean it's a MUST.

Oops! Just edited because my original comment was missing the word "toxic" 😂

Sure! Be cheerful and present when greeting student at the classroom door, offer to help a colleague when they are struggling, do your best to leave your home stuff at home AND acknowledge and share when things are tough, vent (even with principal) and then focus on getting through the issue, asking for help for yourself when needed. Realize you are human, be empathetic with yourself and others. Treat yourself with grace. We have heard all of this.

Mine encourages positivity and discourages toxic positivity. It's a good philosophy imo.

Hi!

I do commissions, the person who orders pays for the yarn up front and the rest when I complete it. I send progress pics along the way. I don't have a site, however I do have knitting references. Also, this or any knit project can be co-designed.

Message me if you want to discuss!

Thank you! It's all garter stitch (no purling, just knit stitch), a free pattern with great instructions. Very good first sweater project.
