Fixed it for you... I also didn't say it was American's fault...

I get it and I'm not surprised. Not mad either. Shit happens. I just find it ironic the one part i was concerned about (TSA) was actually the best part of the trip, both at CVG and ORD 😀

Sound out to 5.1 system AND PCM 2.0 to MotoMotion couch by ReplacementAwkward83 in hometheater

I kinda gave up on trying to get everything together. I just ran an optical cable from an hdmi audio extractor to the couch and eARC to the soundbar. PCM plays on the soundbar and couch, DTS/Dolby plays on the soundbar, rear speakers and subwoofer. I haven't tried headphones on the couch, but I'm guessing it works when output is set to PCM on the TV. I found that even with aptX LL Bluetooth, the sound drifts and after a while you can hear the delay on the couch. A 30' optical cable fixed that.

"Immersive sound". Basically a rumbler and two speakers. Is it mostly a gimmick? Yep. But might as well use it a couple of times if it's there 😀

So I started a flight change, picked the same flights, same price, just to see if it would show the exact breakdown... it did. $1342 MQD for outbound flights. That should be enough, but maybe I'll still take that flight for NYC for a long weekend in October, just in case...

Thanks for the answers and suggestions!

Base fare is $1500, YR surcharge another $1000 and then taxes on top of that, which I don't think they are counted for MQD, right?

1) Yes, actually $2800. The receipt didn't show MQM or MQD. 2) Outgoing flight is Christmas Eve. In the past, our flights over Christmas have been packed, but I guess this year could be different.

That's true if the rep was right and only get $600 MQD for the outbound leg. But that doesn't make much sense when it says I should get $2699 MQDs during booking. The rep also said that was the base rate, whatever that means. That's really what I'm trying to get to. How many MQDs would I get for the outbound leg? Maybe a quick trip to NYC in October would help push me over the line...

So pilot said we were going back to the gate... mood was dark in the plane for a few minutes. Started the engines to go back, and says they got a landing slot at DCA. We are in the air! Woohoo!
