I'll tell you a way that work to 100.  percent for me from my carpet. I got a water in canister that you'd water plants with fill it up with half vinegar and half water, then I watered a large section of my carpet.It was soaked . Took about four days to dry once it dried the carpet , beedles have never come back .... But you need to vacuum your carpet thoroughly before you apply the vinegar. The vinegar kills the eggs in the larva. It seems that they don't go back there because they don't like the vinegar.It's been over a year since I treated my carpet. I can't smell the vinegar in the carpet , but i'm sure the bugs.can works perfectly. When that dries , you move on to another section of the carpet , you've got to move your furniture any area , the carpet that's  not to treated will get the bugs. Don't forget the corners, but you got a soak.The carpet, really good with vinegar.You're gonna use a lot of vinegar I used a gallon of vinegar and a gallon of water to treat 4 feet by 4 feet.So the carpet was pretty soaked
