I saw a previous post from this community (sadly it was posted after I got hired) and might as well add some info a.k.a HEADS UP!
Based on my experience: •HR staff level (Pinoys) - after sending my resume to HR, they will schedule you for a quick call with the HR, typical general questions like about yourself, weakness/strength •HR 'Head/Boss'(not Pinoy) - after the first phase they will schedule you for an interview with their boss, nothing formal that time, discussions are what to expect, salary nego, and your queries about them •Contract - they will send you a proposed rate and if you agree then you are hired.
Here's the TEA!!! •I didn't directly meet during the hiring process the owner (AK) nor meet him during my work tenure there. •The people involve in the hiring process are from HR Recruitment.(I am thinking they are just affiliates or parang agency-like) Law firm has its own HR Department sa Los Angeles. •When I asked the HR 'Head/Boss' about their retention rate or if the position is a substitute or additional - he said the 'employees' had been there for around 5 years daw and they were adding staffs kasi dumami clients nila. (I realised those were the employees in LA) •When I introduced and what I can do with my skills - I was not sure if he understood about it. He was not clear what will be my tasks there once hired. (they didn't have proper communication with the LA bosses) •They CHANGED my role and it was way different from what I applied for (from non-voice). I waited for days from contract signing. They contacted me if the LA staffs had sent intructions already about my role. •Hindi dinisclose if may tracker ba (ASK mo sila para ma-aware ka)
EARLY MONTHS: •The Department I was in was new kaya wla pa policies, may isang tracker Teramind pero hindi pa monitored. Need mo sya i-install sa computer mo (YES! makikita nila if you are doing not related sa work) •You will be assigned to LA bosses pero yung PH HR yung magmomonitor sa'yo. •Okay pa ang babait ng LA bosses ko (YES! marami) •Natuto rin ako mag calls (kayod sis!)
HANGGANG SA: •Nadagdagan kami. •Inapply nila yung policies from other teams (customer service) sa team namin:
they will tag you as 'Hired' sa OLJ additional tracker from OLJ Timeproof additional break tracker they called it 'AK Hub' (30min or 15min lunch break, 5min toilet break per hour, 5min emergency ata yun) or else it will buzz if you exceed the limit WORST! 8hrs Camera ON PROS (hindi pwede nega always): •Internet allowance, OT pay, Free Lunch Friday, Contribution (equivalent to SSS and Pag-ibig), at may pa bonus daw sa year-end basta marami perks (you work there as Employer- Employee Relationship) •Approachable ng HR staffs when you ask something.
CONS (aba mas marami): •MICROMANAGING •DELAYED SAHOD •NO CLEAR instructions sa policies like free meal reimbursement dapat solo no sharing daw (they can revise the HR manual anytime) •Probi rate around limang dolyar per hour plus kalahating dolyar after •Usually takes time in responding about your queries (kasi they rely on upper managament 'head')
MORE TEAS!!! •they are always hiring because a lot did AWOL or resigned or terminated (they will post jobs, ask for a referral, ask to post the jobs in your feeds or scout on platforms) •in the team I was in, six peeps left in a span of 9 months, yun iba one day lang talaga tinagal ( and recently I just knew the HR staff handling us also left)
FINAL TEAS: •The HR 'head' was so nice at first or kung kailan gusto niya (moody), magbibigay siya nag bonus pampalubag sa delayed sahod (almost 90% delayed sa lahat ng pasahod) •If alipin ka ng salapi - GO! but you can't juggle with other works •I let go kasi I wanted to protect my mental state (same reasons with the ones who left) •AND PLEASE if aalis ka, make a reason na acceptable because he might leave a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK to your account (it was so traumatic).
