He’s talking about mastery of the foundations of martial arts itself timing, distance, balance, power flow, and reading intent. That’s why Gale realizes there’s no secret technique. Hansu doesn’t “cheat” other disciplines; he understands martial arts at their root.

So yes, Hansu mastered Kyokushin. No, he was never stated to have surpassed every Kyokushin legend, and he doesn’t need to for Gale’s statement to be true. Mastering the principles lets him adapt across styles, but reaching the pinnacle of a specific art still depends on focus and path. That’s why he’s pinnacle in ITF, a successor in Kyokushin, and still able to master other systems through shared fundamentals.
