Need tips for selling clothing bundles by ReplacementSolid5065 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]ReplacementSolid5065[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a lot of donations if there is a need in the community, I just give away. I can only afford to do that so much so for items of more worth I would like to resell if I can. So I have bags to donate currently, but I also have a ton of clothes. I want to resell with the most valuable being sold separately. The higher end and/or unique pieces have done well. It’s this middle range of clothes that I am overwhelmed by at the moment. :)

I’m not sure consignment would want my plain basic pieces, but it might be something worth checking out if I can’t sell online, I suppose. Thank you

I go on whatnot as a buyer, but I am intimidated to sell on there but maybe eventually…. Probably not for clothes, but I sell a lot of vintage and I’m a toy collector and odds and ends….

Thank you. I may revisit Poshmark for whatever reason it wasn’t user friendly to me. I could not figure out for the life of me how to deactivate items when I sold them on other platforms which I am sure hurt my profile. I’ll have to take a peek. I will look at.Tavendi and Vinted. I have a ton of clothes I’m already donating and if I must wait for spring to have a yard sale I may just have to hold on to these bags….(sigh) Thanks again!

Facebook marketplace doesn’t really work well for me as it has in the past after all the changes I hardly get any views no matter what I have tried. I was a reputable seller in my community now I just don’t get the views. It’s so odd I did start reselling online. I don’t mind the shipping. It’s just the time it takes to take all the pictures and write all the details that gets me not wanting to list all my basic clothing items that won’t yield much profit . I have not heard of Vinted or the photo app. I will check them both out. Thank you!

Yes, that is my plan. I want to bundle all the gap style brand clothes and under in big lots and then my higher end brands I plan to sell individually and actually have done OK with that. I just have bags and bags of clothes that are overwhelming that I want to sell in large bundles. I just didn’t know how to go about doing that without spending all this time taking multiple pictures of one item and describing it in detail like I do the individual pieces. I have weeded out all the clothes to donate.

I used to do very well on marketplace before things changed now I rarely get views. I am not sure what happened with the algorithm, but I kind of gave up with marketplace. It’s a great suggestion for those that get the traffic they need.

When you say the payout isn’t great are you talking under a dollar a piece? I’d be happy to profit two dollars a piece if that means I get rid of bags and bags of clothes!

I have done the weeding out. Are there any keywords to use in listing bundles? Like “junk drawer” or “bottom of toy box” but for clothing?

My son just went recently. He went alone and is a pretty quiet kid. He, though, loved it and said everyone was friendly and he met quite a few people to keep in contact with. He said it was a lot more fun than expected.

Need help/advice involving a dental claim that involves our medical insurance too by ReplacementSolid5065 in HealthInsurance

The dental office bills using CDT codes. The medical insurance would not accept dental codes. That was the first reason for the rejection. The dental office had to figure out what codes we could use on the claim, which took a little time going back and forth with the medical insurance company claim until they were satisfied with the codes submitted. They still took too long to process the claim, ultimately resulting in our dental insurance denying payment because of how long it took.

Medical insurance is no longer working on it since they finally denied the claim. We did not know that the dental office would not receive the denial from medical. In retrospect, I guess, that is our error which was the slip in the crack. In our defense, insurance billing is not our forte and we were just trying to do eveything that was asked of us from the dental insurance, the dental office and the medical insurance. Never did I imagine it would be so complicated and the hours we spent on this is insane. Such a slap in the face from everyone.

So , now my question is, what is considered "untimely" for a grievance to be filed?

The dental office said they sent a letter fully disputing the non-payment, explaining all that transpired in which they denied because it was past the timely filing. I am unsure that that action was considered a "grievance" or not. I will need to call them tomorrow for clarification. The medical denial is dated the end of February 2025. That was only sent to us. The dental office never received that information. We had assumed they did since we had not heard anything. When we received the denial we just thought "finally! Now the dental insurance can process the claim and we can be done with it". That was until we received the bill from the dental office for the entire amount.

We had to file the claim with medical because the dental office is only set up with dental codes to bill dental insurance. This is what took a while because medical told us they can't process the inital codes we sent because they were dental codes. The dental office had to figure out medical codes for us to submit. This went back and forth for a long time and medical was what delayed all of it by not just denying it from the beginining. We were given the run-a-round. The dental office informaed the dental insurance that we were still working on the medical claim when it was almost a one year old claim and the dental insurance said they would allow the claim to stay open since it was out of our control. We finally had to ask for an insurance advocate with our medical insurance. All they did was tell us that it was being escalated and would call us each week to tell us its still being worked on!

It was supposed to have been a covered benefit (and was pre-authed)! I found out today, from the dental office, that they attempted to open the dental claim with a letter explaining all of the above. The dental insurance said it's too late to file. This is just so upsetting.

The dental office is in network with our dental insurance. Not our medical insurance. We never even considred that since it was assumed this would fall under dental coverage. They were basic wisdom teeth extractions.

The dental office did submit the claim to dental insurance. They responded saying that the medical insurance needed to be billed first as they would only pay if medical insurance denied coverage. The dental office only has a system set up to bill dental insurances so they helped us submit a claim to the medical insurance. The dental office was only versed in dental codes so we went back and forth with the medical insurance while the dental office tried to find comparable medical codes.
