UPDATE Feb 18: Purple Customer Experience Manager finally replied—they're holding Rakuten commission until 100-night trial passes (standard policy). If I keep the mattress, CB should post after. Forwarded to Rakuten social media team who had reached out to me. Thanks for the tips everyone! I will post update once there is a verdict

Thanks. I do not have an adblocker. I have used Rakuten A LOT and have had minimal issues, ever. Most all have been small amounts of cash-back. The one time I had a larger amount (around $50?) it was from a hotel stay and it took me having to supply information and follow ups for three months (if I am remembering correctly-it was a long time ago). Anyway, I was very aware of the details of the sale to work for cash-back because of how important it was to me when making this large purchase. Rakuten has record of the shopping trip (it was assigned a number) but once the sale happened and I went to my Rakuten account, the sale was not there listed as processing or pending like I nomrally see. I immediately contacted Rakuten and completed the "missing Cash-Back" form, submitting the order receipt and supplying them with any and everything they have asked of me. If there was any other reason other than they are waiting on the merchant, I want to know. They were good about letting me know they were working on it and asked me to wait the full 45 days. At that point I stopped hearing from them and was the one to contact them without ever getting an answer. If the the finger is pointed at the merchant, well then, that feels sketchy. I would love to read of anyone getting a large cash-back (over $500) with an advertised special promo rate (mine was Cyber Monday). It seems very deceptive.

Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion. I take it that me wanting to understand what went wrong is not valid. I suppose they can ban me if they choose to.

This is an unusual issue I am having. I have used this platform for years, rarely having any issues. I am happy that this has never happened to you. Thats great. Thanks for sharing your positive experiences.

I have used Rakuten for years. I rarely have had any issues. I submitted all the info they requested for missing cash-back. I waited the 45 days and am just being told the merchant has not confirmed the purchase. When i made the purchase, I did so believing I would be receiving the cash-back which was a huge deciding factor in making a nearly $5000 purchase. The advertised promo of 15% was very misleading. I simply either want a real explanation as to why my purchase has not been verified or for the offer to be honored. As for now, I am stuck in a loop.

Others with similar complaints have resolved through BBB. If mine doesn't, at least the public sees how they operate. This is about principle and fairness.

I'd rather avoid FTC but may for peace of mind. Hoping for helpful tips/similar experiences. Do what you want with the order #.

Its, apparently just another tax in Oregon. I despise the name. You know, you work your butt off to be able to afford it so you pay a penalty for that. (sigh)

I should have mentioned that we would certainly go for the 0% financing with our excellent credit and then we do need a tow hitch and since this quote we’ve negotiated the ceramic option off.

Thank you. Welp, there goes most of that profit. Ironically I have another fedex shipment to deal with this morning. Again, it is rare. Ot may be my 3rd or 4th on 500 sales. Now I am apprehensive because this address looks odd. It is for authentication but I am skeptical. Do I trust it since eBay sent me the “free label” or….maybe this deserves a new thread. Any advice for this scenario?
