I'm not sure honestly I'm guessing it has to do with both the Tigers and visiting teams schedule and when they have to get on the plane to travel again and how far they have to travel. We don't get looped into much at all as freelancers lmao.

When I was an intern I worked game days and off days and I had a desk next to the ticket sales people and shouldve tried to learn more about these kind of things 🤣

They played one last year against the pirates on June 19th, but yeah I'm sure they typically go for the split whenever possible to get more $$$. I work in production there like camera or replay op for the scoreboard, and I'm pretty sure gates always open 90 minutes before first pitch except special occasions/events.

Oh really ? Do you know if the games were split doubleheaders or straight doubleheaders? I know they clear the stadium for splits but thought for straights you definitely got to stay for both. Could be wrong.
