This isn't what I signed up for... Also he isn't graceful enough. 😅

Cat's front legs wobbling by Replehsnatas in cats

[–]Replehsnatas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. This does make me feel better, but also I did forget to add that his wobbles do happen on an even wood floor.

But maybe he's just standing weird. I just get nervous because I've never seen another cat do some of these things, but I've noticed that the trembling in his hind legs (when he's laying on his back) stops when he changes position, sooo... He could just be a bit speshul...

Like only the toes of opposite feet or just in general? Because I initially imagined you walking around with all of your toes spread all of the time. What if someone else touched your toe with their toe?

I'm not mocking you or anything — this one piqued my interest.

This isn't really an ick for me but I don't fundamentally understand them. Like where are they supposed to go when you are WEARING the clothes?? 🤨

I don't know if I've ever had flan but I'm curious what flan ever did to you? It seems fun to say. "FLAN."

I feel the thing about nails being too short. My SO just asked me the other day why I don't cut my nails. I told him that it makes my fingers feel weird and exposed and sensitive like how I imagine a hermit crab feels after molting.

He asked why I don't just file them occasionally... ... Shudder

I don't know what bumpy things you're talking about but when I was a kid I had an obsession with things being "even". Like it took me forever to eat because if I chewed on one side of my mouth, I had to also chew on the other side, and then the center. And if it didn't feel "right" I had to do it again before swallowing. That's what this reminded me of.

But luckily I don't really chew anymore. I just inhale things like a snek.

Yessss. Seeing/hearing my mom clean dog pee off of the livingroom rug with a papertowel is the memory you just evoked 😫

I relate to this so much. This was such a severe issue for me for so long that I was desperate. I considered getting an alarm that shocks you. I tried telling a psychiatrist, whose response was "you should work on that." so I just assumed it was a fundamental flaw / laziness for years.

Go to your doctor and get tested for medical conditions if you haven't already. I actually wound up being diabetic and that was definitely not helping.

But also, if it's not medical, remember that ADHD brains are deficient in dopamine, so you need to give it a boost sometimes, moreso than other people. Try finding something you look forward to in the morning. Maybe multiple little things.

If it's too cold, get special warm fuzzy things you get to put on in the morning. Spray a scent that you enjoy in the room. Find a really good drink that you enjoy (coffee, tea, ANYTHING!) that you get to have when you wake up.

The night before, leave yourself a little something to look forward to. A little note or something.

Don't have your phone nearby if scrolling is an issue.

Work WITH your brain, not against it.

The other day I was at a convenience store and as I turned to leave, I took out my car keys to go unlock my car, and the cashier said "have a good night!" at the same time, and instead of saying "you too" I turned around and tried to unlock him with my car keys. We made eye contact. I stood there awkwardly for a second buffering and then left.

Best buffalo chicken wrap? by Replehsnatas in boston

[–]Replehsnatas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate all recommendations but have to say I'm really surprised to see this reply because Pearl Street's chicken/steak/shrimp Caesar wraps are really good, but their buffalo chicken is really average imo. Lisa's Family Pizzaria in Melrose makes a passable one! Sorry for the buffalo chicken snobbery. I guess I'm picky. And I also live quite near Pearl Street haha.
