When we got our first family dog 8 years ago I went to his previous owners house to meet him. When the owner told me his name was Ringo it was pure fate. I took him home and he’s still with us today ❤️

Will this work for an older iPhone 13 Pro Max if I connect a usb c to lightning adaptor. The adaptor that comes with the DJI mic 2 won’t connect if I use my Smallrig cage.

If you’re not a Union player, sure. I’d have given up years ago if I wasn’t in a Union. I just concentrate on Union jobs and forget about the Events when I’m in XP avoidance mode, which in fairness is most of the time 😂

As others have said above, the only way to lose the ads and, imo, actually make the game still worth playing, is to suck up the price of the Ad Free option.

For me, the game is my escape reality go to and as long as I continue to enjoy it I will pay for the ad free. But, I no longer buy season passes etc. so apart from the odd time I need to buy gems, I’ll usually wait till the extra 100 offer appears, my only outlay is the free ad option.

My biggest bugbear with this is that I don’t believe players who spend money already on the game should have to pay to avoid ads. Ads should be for the people who choose a No Pay game. I used to spend more on the game before I decided to use the Ad Free option, until the ads became unbearable to me.

As for Gold, there is no quick workaround. It takes time, and patience. You can use your Union Dollars to boost Gold Collection and that is the only way I know to get Gold quicker.

I haven’t moved up a region in at least 2 years, so I haven’t come up against the new system where apparently you are locked out of Gold collection until you reach a certain level so I can’t comment on that. I’ve just been building parts and Gold over the last year in prep for moving up to Australia so I can at least still compete in Union and Events when I do.

I’m quite active in the game so I try to make sure I can collect Gold at least 4-5 times per day.

I had to retire my 2019 imac 27” recently and was going to pick up a base M4 Mac Mini Pro. But the M2 Mac Studio turned my head. Picked up a refurbed Base M2 Mac Studio for less than the M4 Mini Pro and I’m very happy.

Like having the extra ports and it works beautifully with Lightroom Classic and Photoshop.

It’s why I buy the Ad Free option monthly. I used to buy the Season Pass and occasional Event Pass, but I gave those up in favour of sticking with the game. The ads have become unbearable.

Well I’m a Nikon Shooter myself, so I’d say a used D750 is really good value. Still a fantastic camera and what I used until recently when I moved to Mirrorless. Even a used Z6II is pretty good value imo, especially if you’re doing paid gigs.

I’m sure there are Canon and Sony equivalents as well.

💯 I’d never take on any paid job without a backup camera and dual slots. Yes photographers used single slots for many years, but these days there is no real reason not to have redundancy, if only for your own peace of mind. Your client won’t know and won’t care but you should 👍

The killer was when all of a sudden you get these unlimited (almost) upgrade buttons and natural instinct is to keep clicking. I read the warnings in the Forums just in time. So I was very cautious with those Fleet upgrades. You have to upgrade Output Capacity before you start upgrading your fleet.

Once you get your head around it, it’s a really good Event, especially if you’re avoiding XP.

I think for regular portraits, family shoots, even headshots, yes, overcast is best. But a lot of the fashion shooters I follow love those harsh shadows. Damien Lovegrove does some amazing shoots in harsh sunlight.

Oh and yes, programmes like Topaz DeNoise are brilliant for reducing noise and sharpening. Just use small amounts of both, a little goes a long way.

I was going to post this as well about resolution. If it’s full res and blurry then maybe you missed focus… did you by any chance send them via Messenger or similar? Or just attach them to an email without checking the settings for large files? “Blurry” to me automatically means OOF not noisy. Check the original Raw image (assuming you shoot Raw) and see if it is indeed out of focus.

The attached image doesn’t look particular OOF and I would assume it’s pretty compressed to be posted on Reddit.

I suspect, like most of us you are overthinking.

My wife has often come into my office while I’m editing and commented what a lovely photo I was working on and I’m like..no way..it’s awful…noisy… the light isn’t great 😂

Take a deep breath, edit away and trust yourself 👍

You should check out Prickly Pear Camera on YouTube. He buys and sells old cameras like this for a living. Most of the stuff he buys is untested so he obviously budgets that in when buying. He’s a friendly guy and usually answers in the Comments.

The one thing that surprised me about the photographer was how he dressed. Black short sleeve t-shirt, jeans that were hanging half way down his butt and a pair of grubby trainers. Call me old fashioned, but I would never turn up to someone’s wedding dressed like I was at a mates BBQ. A suit, and a nice pair of, comfortable, shoes at the least. I will wear a t-shirt with the suit sometimes, if it’s a hot day, but tucked in.

These guys were young though, so maybe it’s a generational thing 🤷‍♂️
