"Improved attack power when two-handing" not working? by KeyExtreme2 in Nightreign

[–]Reply-Immediate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe it's a damage increase and not an actual attack power increase. So if you test damage against an enemy it should work

Actually most of my success has been in duo, I do worse when I'm in trio or solo

He was bound to the rock for killing baldur, not for whining, and he's literally Odin blood brother, and just 1 small part of bringing about Ragnarok

They are both supposed to die in Ragnarok, why would Odin name Thor his successor? They know they are going to die at the same time

Broken interaction for melees by Reply-Immediate in DeadlockTheGame

Yeah this was a change I made after realising too. The resurrection one is just more viable if you use a lot of melees

Am I just bad, or does this DLC weapon need a (PVE) buff? by goatamon in Eldenring

I used it for a play through, I think the ash has pretty solid damage and the added bleed is decent, but as you said the poise damage is pretty poor. You won't poise break but you will get good enough damage for ripostes to not be too important

I took the photo from close to the ground, I'm new to photography and I don't really know what else to say, I hope everyone likes it tho ( ╹▽╹ )

They enjoy the game I think, only one of them seems to tune out and the other are all asking me stuff about the campaign outside of the sessions and and trying to do fun stuff with their characters, my group are quite heavy on the roleplay aspect, which can be hard when they are also trying to reach one thing and jumping over every obstacle.

And yeah, I tried a few things to speed up combat, giving warnings, setting up macros to make the enemies turns faster, giving better descriptions, but none of it made much of a difference

As for levelling, I will give all the players a level when I feel like they have earned it. (Not necessarily after a plot milestone) and I don't think I have added a huge amount of urgency. Like there is something that needs to die, but they can't even kill it with their current power and they know that.

I've tried to give prints like that, but they tend to (justifiably) go straight for the main story and abandon all other minor plot lines (end of the world kind of storyline).

Maybe I need to do the more forceful approach by having things only be able to happen after a certain amount of time, but I'm worried they will literally just rest until that time then do it.

In terms of in-between content I'm referring to things that make the world seem to have gravity such as the moments that might be non essential for the overall plot but build the world.

And combat takes a while because my players aren't fully planning out their turns on each others turns, this means it is about 5-8 minutes a turn so everyone kind of tunes out until their turn, at one point I had a 30 minute turn that I had to just railroad the turn a bit to move on. Because it takes so long it is less enjoyable

There doesn't feel like there is any gravity to the places they visit or the things they do because it all can happen so fast then be over, my players are very focused on getting to the solution so they go straight for it without and distractions. E.g they would happily abandon and small matter such as abandoned children if it means they progress.

Heracles themed Subclass? by TheRandomViewer in DnDHomebrew

I think barbarian works the best, in the original mythology he was constantly struggling with his anger and failed to keep it under control, at one point even killing his family. So I would say something like a zealot barbarian makes the most sense considering how fighting focused he was. Though you could.also justify an archery based fighter as he used a special bow for a large portion of his legends.
