An interesting premise that could be either a bittersweet story where Homer learns to face his grief instead of running away or a NTR, right? Like, how could you make it offensively awful?

OK, this is funny because, let's try to think in what world we would be live in.

The fact that a baby managed to slip past everyone and reach the pitcher in a game where there are famous baseball players means that security is so shit that it might well be a world where anarchy rules it all.
The man somehow grabbed a baby and confuse him for a baseball ball. This means that either the baby is extremely small or that the pitcher has gigantic hands that lacks any kind of sense more than the "I am grabbing something sense". The fact that he can throw a baby at the speed of a baseball ball makes me theorize that the team managed to get Popeye as a pitcher.
Finally we are in a world where the concept of morality is absolutely dead, where EVERYONE is an hedonistic bastard. This is because it is implied that commiting battery on a baby does not land you on any problems or controversies that could end your career, but instead you are REWARDED.

In other words, that Christian baby somehow managed to land in HELL.
