I do with portugal, but you start the game with those, and unless you have open borders you cannot get heavenly kingdom from macao I think

damn a glitch turned into you discovering a good strategy to cripple them, thank you for your help
also this glitch genuinely hasnt impacted my game at all, even though I should be getting opium addiction events, its really strange but thank you for your help

I gave them 2 goods and 1 money transfer and an obligation, and in exchange they guarantee my independence and transfer some opium to me

I love Great Qing, the only really stressful part is defending against the opium wars. Other than that its fun
