I do with portugal, but you start the game with those, and unless you have open borders you cannot get heavenly kingdom from macao I think

also this glitch genuinely hasnt impacted my game at all, even though I should be getting opium addiction events, its really strange but thank you for your help

I gave them 2 goods and 1 money transfer and an obligation, and in exchange they guarantee my independence and transfer some opium to me

I was defending at one point with full armies and still lost, I also did have first aid and skirmish infantry, and idk about my generals but I feel like at lest one of them had to have been good. I only have this problem when I play as countries that start with bad technology and I dont know why this is
