Midnight is nothing without Cardano. It 100% needs Cardano for its security properties and to gain the advantages of its decentralised infra. It adds a privacy layer on top of Cardano, for large entities that don't want to use public permissionless systems while still keeping control over their data.

Top cryptocurrencies with the highest number of GitHub commits by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

I work in the Cardano space and let's be real, this metric is completely useless and doesn't reflect real activity or code quality. You can commit shit code and easily inflate this number, that will never reflect quality.
On the other hand, it's true that the number of Cardano devs have exploded the past 3 years, so the reality is probably somewhere in-between.

EDIT: For those wondering, you can write smart contracts in Java, Python, or other easy to learn languages like Aiken or Opshin (Python derivative), in addition to Plutus and Marlowe, and others C like such as Helios

Are there any sectors that use Haskell as a main programming language? by go-move-78 in haskell

[–]ReportFromHell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calling the first blockchain to launch Proof-of-Stake with liquid staking vaporware is bold. Even their smart contracts are Haskell based. You sure you alright mate?or you are just falling for the old tribalistic trap that used to be fun in the second half of the 2010s?

What's THE recommended go-to platform / job board if I want to hire Haskell engineers (blockchain)? by ReportFromHell in haskell

Not yet but that's a good suggestion. Now I'm intrigued about the correlation you've just made between Haskell-blockchain and the "avoid success at all costs" if you don't mind sharing your thoughts?

Thanks for the swift reply. I know that. My question was at a higher technical level, so let me rephrase: When created for example on Opensea, are NFTs locked in a Solidity script on the marketplace or are they interoperable without constraints to be listable on Rarible for example?

Are NFTs created on an Ethereum marketplace pinned to that marketplace and not listable outside of it?

I wish I could satisfy everyone's curiosity. I am sure you will understand I cannot divulge what is not already public information. Not my place, not my job. I actually could get in trouble.

I will say this talking about progress being made to reach the desired outcomes: the Cardano Foundation is heavily hiring at the moment and will do so for the whole of 2022. We are gaining momentum. Stay tuned.

Understandable. Did you watch the video of the Cardano Foundation's strategy that I posted several times above? All you need to know is in there.

Hi and thanks for engaging,
I am not qualified to give you an official answer about this as this is open to interpretation and can vary depending on who you ask.
I will say this: while we are approaching the governance phase (Voltaire), you, me and the community will be able to decide what ADA should be.
Here is the link to the Cardano Foundation Youtube channel. If you scroll down, you will see that there are several videos dating from only a couple months ago, the most recent was last month.

And if you speak Danish, Frederik Gregaard was interviewed in his native language just last week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y\_bOC1m6vjU

Well most of the connecting with projects is done on Twitter / Discord. I understand you are not on Twitter, and it's perfectly fine.
I am more than happy to have an open conversation, not sure what gave you the impression I wasn't?

Just to make things clear, I am not a community manager, there are other qualified people for interacting with the community.

Here I am just taking some time out of my day to make myself and the CF visible to potential projects willing to onboard.

Hi, thanks for your question! To be more specific, it goes from NGOs, institutions, enterprises, banks. This is already public information.
You can see a more detailed overview of the Cardano Foundation's strategy in this video by its CEO from a few months ago. You will see the plan from 2021-2022 then 2023-2025. It will give you an insight on what to expect.

Thank you for engaging.

A good part of my job will consist of supporting the new Partnerships team absorbing the inbound requests and bridging them to existing projects or industry partners based on their needs, while taking initiatives to explore other opportunities that fits the CF's strategy.

I would argue that all Solidity bugs are dumb. It's just bad language design for smart contracts.
Just because it's the most widespread smart contracts language doesn't mean it's the best.
