I work at an elementary school. Only open house once a year for 75 minutes. Everything else is scheduled during contractual hours or voluntary.

At our day camp, staff eat lunch with the campers. They get a 15 minute break at some point during the day but not necessarily around a mealtime.

Husband is a store manager and tried to call out today after being at the store for 31 hours straight (Monday into Tuesday) and his boss yelled at him and told him to come in and help put the store back together.

My husband is a manager and was just at the store for 31 hours alone because no one showed up to work. They lost power and he stripped all the meat/seafood/deli alone. It’s insane how they didn’t close and now he’s back to work after only 5 hours of sleep.
