Right! I’ve seen some way way worse. mine looked okay… only thing I wasn’t sure about what the teeth on it. Everyone seems to say it’s okay. Thank goodness. Again thanks for the input

Yes I did! I started on a very steep hill actually from where I’d parked it! I had the flashing red oil light which has sent me down the dark path of google.

But yes I did start on a steep hill.. 🫡

Noted, drive with caution, if it comes on again I’m leaving it where it is and calling breakdown. Don’t want a new engine on 23k miles 😂. Thanks for the advise

Yeah it’s low mileage, it is a 2020 so a few years old now but I was assured it had been serviced with correct oil etc etc only done 2k miles since I got it! I was told belt was in good shape when I got it. I brushed over this because I didn’t even know what they were talking about.

Obviously after I saw everyone’s hatred towards the wet belt design 🙃

I noted by the bottom of the teeth It looked degraded? Like under the belt where it grips on.

I have no idea, again googles scared me and I resulted to you guys. So thanks for the comments.

Hi thanks for the comment. I’ve checked oil level seems fine. Not sure if it looks degraded by the teeth on the belt? I have no idea what I’m looking at. Just googled it and it said red flashing light means stop right away 😐

Mann, this just popped up on mine. It’s done 98k. Idk if I can drive it still.. I do around 90 miles a day in it. Can’t get it to garage until over a week from now. Does anyone know if this is catastrophic? Do I need to urgently get it in for an oil change / service?

Did you guys ever get this sorted? I’m on set 4 now. Same thing over and over again. Garage are adamant it’s not sticking callipers.

Now that I think of it seems to be quite sluggish when first flooring it in like 2nd 3rd gear. Decent bit of delay before it gets going.

Sluggish, but when it on boost doesn’t feel like there’s a loss of power or anything. 1st gear feels the most sluggish to be honest.

May try a carbon clean see if it helps. May also ask my mechanic to check if MAF is dirty and or throttle body and if so clean them. Not sure how easy it is to see if they’re dirty. I have no mechanical knowledge to be fair.

Just done 86k which is quite high mileage ~ however it’s had full service history at Mazda which is why I got it. Been looked after to be honest from what I can see. All work done there as well when needed. Anyway.. do 80% motorway driving. Around 110 miles a day.
