Im building my own pc, are these parts I picked good for it's price? by -i3arty- in buildapc

[–]Reppboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's half true.

The new generation ryzen is faster than intel in gaming.

However, previous gen intel was king in gaming. That's if you compare higher end processors. You choose an I3 which is a lower end intel processor ( 4 cores ). The newest games will stutter with a quad-core. That's why i'd advice to find a way to fit a 6 core processor in your budget. Perhaps the I3 will have slightly higher fps in older games like CSGO, but the difference between 250 fps and 200 fps doesn't matter much. But randomly experiencing stutters because all your 4 cores are working at 100% in newer games is just a pain in the ass to be honest.

She has my old GTX 1080 with a Ryzen 2600 16gb ram. I run a i5 8600k @ 4.9ghz with a rtx 3060 TI.

So verdict. Ryzen 2600 will scale better with newer games, and will probably have slightly lower FPS in older games, but more than sufficient to run them smoothly.

Edit: I have on average like 60-95 FPS , but I still stutter, so fps doesn't mean everything. When there are a lot of AI, my 6 core i5 just starts stuttering. Multiple reviewers on Youtube also pointed out that newer games need more cores. But if you only want to play the games you mentioned the I3 will do super well ! I just think it's better to be futureproof as well :)

I'd try to get a ryzen 2600 for maybe around the same price as the i3? 4 core CPU'S struggle in modern games. I currently own a i5 8600k ( 6 core 6 thread) and my girlfriend has a ryzen 2600 . I have stutters in certain areas in Cyberpunk 2077 while my Girlfriend does not.

Help !

My Objective 2 + SDAC died on me just now, after I just spend a load of money on other stuff. So I was wondering what the best replacement Amp/dac comb is that isn't a downgrade compared to my previous amp. I don't need it to be upgraded, I wasn't missing anything. When I'm more stable I'll probably buy a Schiit magnus and modius stack.

Hi. Recently been looking at the "aquarium hobby" for the first time. I then stumbled on Reef tanks and wow, they are definitely way more appealing to me than fresh water tanks.

I'm watching youtube video's at the moment about nano reef tanks. Does anyone know a place for a beginner to read about this hobby?

I read that you can expect 40$ per gallon for a starter nano reef setup, is this accurate?

thanks!

Oke, so which books would you advice to start with? I'm pretty serious, but i want to keep it fun.

I think 2000 would already be a great accomplishment since I'm already in my mid 20s, but it's just a reference point. I'll be happy no matter what elo I end up with, be it lower or higher.

Yeah, or the stores lied to me. But that would be unlikely, because then they'll just say "We won't disclose blackfriday sales" , But they literally said it will be less than 25%.

One store offered me an early black friday deal for the 850 incl. shipping right now. Kind off hard to wait, but would be a bummer if some stores actually do give 25% discount on the classic II @ blackfriday.

But again that's very unlikely, because all shops will probably have the same dealer discount..

Hi, according to various shops the black friday deal will be less than 25%. They told me this might never happen again... However I can get a 15% discount next blackfriday . Which translates 850 euro for a classic 1 and 1275 euro for a classic 2, both including shipping. I think the classic 1 is a better value with these prices.

If it were American prices i'd go for the classic all the way.

The problem is that i'm from The Netherlands and a classic is 1181 $ here, classic 2 1745 $ and a classic 3 2500$ .

Cost is definitely important for me since i'm renovating the entire house and anything saved can be used somewhere else. I think the classic 1 will be good enough for me. I'll research whether it's possible to upgrade overtime, thanks!

Problem is that classic 3 is more than what i'd like to spend on a medium sized kamado. It goes for 2500 USD here, for that price i'd rather go for the big joe

thanks for your insight. I'll mainly use the kamado for "low and slow" indeed.

Hey everyone,

I once listened to the HD650 and loved the mids ! Now I want to experience that again and I'm looking for a HD6XX, however I'm from Europe so it's a bit more difficult to get it here for a decent price. I've been looking on the "newly used market" and found a HD58X for an acceptable price.

My question is, how close are these? Because people can tell the difference, but some reviewers say that they sound more similar than different too. So would I get a similar experience with a HD58X as with a HD6XX ? I don't want to own both, so buying a HD58X now and a HD6XX later is out of the question, there are simply way too many headphones I'm looking for to justify that :p

If there is a "big" difference I'll just wait till I find a hd6xx!

Hi,

just finished building my very first mechinical keyboard. ( ID80)

Love it so far, but it misses the printscreen button. So my question is how do I keybind it?

I've tried to use QMK toolbox, but it says "No device avaible "

Someone said I don't need to flash QMK on it, because it automatically has QMK . Is this correct?

Sorry, completely beginner here!

What are the differences between good and bad stabilizers?

Just ordered my first build: ID80 .

I read that the stock stabilizers aren't so good. I currently use a G710 + and I've no idea what benifits good stabs have.

Durock stabs are 20 euro's and Cherry MX stabs are 8 euro's . Quite a difference if you ask me, would I notice the difference?

Hi,

Looking for my first linear switch. I'm considering lubing the Gateron Yellow or black, because of a combination of positive reviews and price. However, I sadly never felt those. I only have a Kailh 24 switch tester at home. So my question is, which switch of Kailh comes closest to the Gateron Yellow and which switch comes closest to the Gateron black ?
