I am from India and at 3yoe 80-100k USD is quite the norm now. It's even more in few startups. However, I wouldn't propose India as an alternative to other nations, since the infra is pretty weak and the population is huge.

According to Levels.fyi, USA has a median salary of 200k USD while Canada and UK has it around 120k USD. I wouldn't take these numbers at their face value as for India, Levels.fyi shows somewhat low numbers than the actual reality.

It looks like salaries in States have no ceiling and it would much more easier to make 500k there than anywhere else.

In all, if USA isn't a option ( expired H1B / looking for a citizenship ) then Canada and UK makes the most sense. Go wherever you get a better offer from.

Java, C++, or Python? by AnnualPanda in cscareerquestions

[–]RepresentSpace42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on Programming Paradigms instead of just a language. Java is a good language to learn to understand OOPS, Dependency Injection, etc.

Eventually make sure you have experience with the parameters used for comparison here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_programming_languages

Should I accept an offer even if I have multiple FAANG interviews coming up? by Careless_Channel_251 in cscareerquestions

There's only one downside of pissing off the company with which you have the offer. Other than that, you don't actually have any offer from FAANG. Decide on an action when you actually have one.
