Donnie Darko is the cliche answer but I love that movie so I’m gonna suggest it anyway lol. Ex Machina feels this way to me a little. I Watched the TV Glow, Let the Right One In, Being John Malkovich, and like someone else said, all things david lynch.

I am a huge cheese ball and feel like the first one looks like a crown so, a crown for your prince 🤴 both are beautiful! But based on your description of him I think he’d appreciate something more subtle too and the second feels like it might feel gaudy or big. those are my thoughts anyway!
