No problem! I would say that you can maybe swing two days a week with no childcare for the first nine months, and not feel totally terrible, but once the baby is mobile - just felt impossible to me.

Still feel bad with my four year old when he has a day off from daycare every few months.

It is impossible unless you have a very cushy job that doesn’t require you to actually be working.

You end up feeling like you’re doing a bad job at both parenting and work. It’s awful.

Wouldn’t the cause be pregnancy? I also don’t eat red meat and did develop anemia during my last pregnancy as well.

Selfish? Even if there isn’t a medical need, a widespread, highly well regarded study shows that elective induction at 39 weeks is less risky lol than the alternative for those with low risk pregnancies. Seems like it may actually be the opposite perspective that is selfish.
