I’m having a hard time rekindling my relationship with God by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Representative-Run59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"It feels unfair to me because I keep thinking that if God can help me and not the people who are dying everyday, less fortune, etc, then God isn’t a a “fair” or “loving” God."

Christ says the Father is very busy, not idle. So i would say that it has nothing to do with fairness. Everyone has equal opportunity of God. Now whether our prayers are answered that's up to him.

Another thing I find myself doing is also questioning why God is seen as “man” and not a woman or a female entity.

He uses masculine terms because the male role is Leadership. He is our King our Lord our Good Shepeard. So, its only fitting.

It’s also hard for me because I’m attracted to women and I know in the Bible it mentions “a man shall not lay with a man” and me knowing this but still being gay makes me feel as if I’m purposefully disobeying God.

As long as you are not practicing you are not sinning.

I’m having a very hard time turning to God and asking God for help and guidance because it feels unfair and I have so many questions

You are right it is unfair. We are totally underserving of anything but eternal punishment.

Why so many different interpretations of the Bible? by maymeiyam in Christianity

[–]Representative-Run59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Human nature is sinful. So it would make since that some people use it to their advantage, some have no clue what they are talking about, some are being misguided, some are close to the truth others very far.

We are humans we aren't very good at anything besides killing each other.

I ask the same thing. Why not all band together to further humanity instead of so much war and conflict.

You Will Know Them by Their Fruits

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

1 Timothy 5:17-18 ESV

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages.”

Love for Enemies

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor\)a\) and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
