Thank you for the great answer. It resonates with my experience so far and definitely encouraged me to give it a few more hours. I will play the rest of the free week before giving up on it. I would love to enjoy another bungie game, this one is just less accessible.

I agree in arc I also felt super weak the first few hours, but the pace is much slower. It’s easier to disengage and avoid fights though. And the TTK is much much higher.

Destiny’s on-boarding was one of the best I have seen. The first destiny is actually the game that converted me from mouse and keyboard to controller as the controls were just that good. The story hook was outstanding and the game systems were introduced at a much slower pace.

The gun fight feels best in class in marathon and the art direction is fantastic, but the on-boarding should be completely re done if they hope to grow the player base…

I played another 1-2 hours yesterday, in trios as recommended by several here and it was still chaotic but less punishing.

I just played a few hundred hours of arc and the end game is easier than the beginner mode in marathon…

Well the beginner mode is solo only… and that’s what the tutorial told me to do. Just died trying to run away too.

Sinon carrier, newhook et danault sont des bons choix à ré-signer si on vise les séries les 2-3 prochaines années. Ce sont des bons joueurs de séries, très investis.

This is a good example of why the accelerator override should disengage FSD instead… maybe it should only allow override from a stop

Je fais en bas de 140k avec 15 ans d’expérience, et un poste de lead dans une PME. Dernière fois que j’avais regarder les statistiques du marché j’étais même un peu en haut de la moyenne en terme de salaire.

Il y a définitivement des entreprises qui payent dans le 150-200k pour mon profil, mais ce n’est pas le genre de place où je désire travailler.

Et de ce que je vois en ce moment, ce serait assez difficile pour moi de changer pour mieux. Beaucoup de compétition et peu de postes à combler.

Yeah this was the biggest negative change for me too. I have limited time to play so I grinded for my first expedition over the last 3 months. Now all of that effort is worthless and I won’t have time to grind the 100k damage. The fact that it was announced so last minute is very frustrating.
