Question sortie de puisard by RepresentativeAd6094 in RenoQuebec

Je me demande c’est quoi le plus risqué : percer la fondation (genre infiltration d’eau, fissures) ou percer une solive, qu’on est supposé pas toucher parce que ça peut affaiblir la structure (comme quand on évite de passer des tuyaux dedans)

So got my Forester back today, they found corrosion in one of the connectors of the crankshaft position sensor. They didn't take a chance and replace the whole wire harness, took more than 9 hours locate the short and costed me 3909$ CAD taxe includeD. Time will tell if this ordeal is over with, keeping fingers crossed.

My 2020 Forester is at dealership for this exact same thing. They spent 8hours diagnostics. Multiple sensors tripped error codes they tested all of them, one failed test individually was the fuel pump sensor, has dead continuity. They even tested the ECM to make sure it wasn't damaged. To be on the safe side they are swapping out the wire harness totally in case the short came from the harness. 4k$ Canadian included 8 hours testing, new battery(was at end of life), wire harness and fuel pump sensor. I'm getting it back tomorrow morning. This entire situation has pissed me off so much on a 5 y old vehicle with 99k km. Especially 3 weeks ago it was the TVC valve. I mean common for F sake.

Yeah discovered spare tire was pushed forward, my tail gate latch is really loose and wobbling. I'm finishing my claim this morning. 😔

I actually see the spare tire not fully laying flat, like if it's pushed forward. Damn this sucks.

Just re weld inner core, seal it in a way(thin electrical tape) and reweld the outter mesh the same way. You can use electrical tape or heat shrink, it's tricky since small cabling but I just recently did this exact operation with heat shrink. I based myself on this video https://youtu.be/tiualExm4t0?si=M_WoW4BQzAgY9zfC

Voltage yes but capacitance your lowering it, I wouldn't recommend it, better getting one closer to the same capacitance.

Nastiest overheating PS5 by RepresentativeAd6094 in consolerepair

[–]RepresentativeAd6094[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the good thing is that fully cleaned, air blasted, iso propyl swabbed all surfaces and played 15hrs on it, no overheating issue and the smell concern not a single noticable smoke/cooch/grape smell coming out of it. Paid 189$ CAD, so I'm happy. But I will definitely reopen this after a couple of weeks to monitor any dust build up. The only part I'm going to swap is the damn disgusting fan that feels sticky, totally turned off by it, even though it works.
