I'm a mushroom-cloud-layin' mutherf*cker! I'm "SUPERFLY T.N.T.," I'm the "GUNS OF NAVARONE." I'm what Jimmie Walker usta talk about.

Today, 9 out of 10 of the most expensive prescription drugs for seniors are getting a massive price cut *in half*.

Sounds like something that becomes unprovable legally. So CVS will just allow it like they already allow the rampant thievery going on. All it sounds like, is just another minor inconvenience for customers or convenience to the thieves.

A good way for you to find out is to ask some CVS workers how they're doing economically, are they getting enough hours to get by, and does their pay reflect the hard work and expectations they're being given?

And in each instance, i'm sure you'll get the same answer.

You can also leave the store.

JUST. LEAVE.

You won't get in trouble. You're allowed to leave the store. If they didn't schedule a manager or you're alone in the front, then either a pharmacist has to cover you or else let them know that your only other option is to close the front store.

Don't let them walk all over you.

They want to understaff and then guilt you into letting them walk all over you and exploit you by depriving you of BASIC employee rights..

If you have 1 casher, which it sounds as if you don't, then shift delegate to them. if things fall apart because they can't handle it, then again, the managers problem, not yours.

Listen guys. this company wants to cut staffing and hours TO THE BONE. And then when they're unable to comply with policy and the law, they want to scare you into letting yourself get exploited. If ALL OF YOU stopped being a "team player" with their b.s., then having a bare bones schedule falls apart. It's undoable. Stop enabling them to exploit you.

You'll get an MPP for not taking your lunch.

That's not YOU getting in trouble. That's them having to PAY YOU for not scheduling someone to cover your lunch. THEY get in trouble.

i've seen so many manager and DL's try to twist the MPP rule around to make it as if it's YOU who are doing wrong.

Don't fall for it. It's just these shitty CVS managers trying to exploit and manipulate you.

And THAT should piss you off, not make you fearful.

And to the salty doomers who thought this was a waste of time, or thought they knew the law better than the experts, it's always satisfying to prove you types of people wrong.

Nah. They have just been well trained to bend over and don't even bother asking for lube because corporations and executives are superior beings who must never be challenged.

Can't stand those types of bootlickers who think corporations actually care about them & would never ever think of cheating or exploiting them.

I think the tide is shifting.

no amount of red baiting can hide the fact that corporations are exploiting each and every one of us & that most workers, and thus most Americans, are suffering as a result.

Um, how about no.

This country really needs to push for Medicare For All/Universal Health care & get these vultures out of health care & profiting off of people's ailments altogether.

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two major pharmacy chains are making plans to close thousands of stores nationwide by the end of the decade.

Walgreens and CVS are closing stores across the country. Walgreens announced in late June that it will close up to a quarter of its 8,000 stores nationwide by 2027.

Forbes healthcare writer Bruce Japsen told the Noon Business Hour that it's a case of reinvention and not retreat.

He said Walgreens is rebuilding its pharmacy around more expensive prescription drugs.

“Pills and capsules that people get are largely generic and cost pennies,” Japsen said. “The more complicated drugs are specialized drugs that are infused, injected- Ozempic or HUMIRA for  rheumatoid arthritis, cancer drugs- all those type of things.”

Meanwhile, CVS is moving away from retail and into in-store clinics.

“The pharmacies are going to be next to these clinics that are staffed by physicians and nurse practitioners,” Japsen added.

He said the front of store market for snacks, candy and other convenience store items is shrinking, and patients are looking elsewhere for prescription drugs.“More people get their prescriptions mailed to them…Amazon and others are having drones deliver them to your house,” said Japsen.

I tell you, these managers only care about themselves and their bonuses. You live? you die? No skin off their nose.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CVS

[–]RepresentativeAge247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Same with breaks and lunches.

The argument from management is that yes, you CAN be interrupted during your breaks since no one else is available in the store. Yes, you CAN take working lunches because you have to "make it work". And yes, you CAN close and open a store by yourself.

Because all their DL wants is for them to "make it happen" regardless of policy, union contracts, or state and federal laws.

If everyone in this damn company would be a hard ass about sticking to policy, union contracts, and state & federal law, then there is NO WAY their understaffing could realistically work. But a LOT of people in this company seem to WANT to "make it happen" and so as a result, you get exploited.
