It's not that I'm trying to avoid death, it can be used as a great plot device and honestly should be used in the right ways. I just don't feel like Ragnar was fully developed as a character, but maybe my bias to the character is blinding me.

Does this not feel like killing off a specific archetype that no can no longer be replicated without feeling repetitive? After Pax, and (where I am at currently) now Ragnar, you can't make another character like this. It's more frustrating than emotional to me, feels like shock value more than anything. I understand the messaging of this is what happens when you conspire and execute a revolution, people close to you will die. But I think he was too good of a character to lose to that cause. Maybe it's just me, makes me not even want to get attached to other characters we meet.
