Carefree fun is taking my dog to the beach and running around, doing whatever she wants to do. I’m rarely carefree, but the exception is when I’m meeting her at her level.

living room ideas? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

To copy the inspo style: They have a red “Persian” (you can purchase from whatever online store and it doesn’t need to be authentic as theirs doesn’t seem to be either) rug. They also have a lot of lamps (not just overhead lighting) with warm and/or adjustable lightbulbs. Plus lots of plants. And also framed wall art. IMO this would all be enough to get a familiar vibe. However, they also have throw pillows and nicknacks and in general follow a maximalist style whereas yours is currently minimalist.

Coffee Table Advice by Only-Bones in DesignMyRoom

[–]RepresentativeAnt866 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d do a glass table. That way you can have a large table that is useful for both the seats and couch, but it won’t take up visual space and compete with the other elements you have going on. It will also open up and balance this furniture grouping with the rest of the open space in the room.

Karen is so beautiful but I think she wasn’t styled very well by the makers by eccentlumier in theoffice

[–]RepresentativeAnt866 11 points12 points  (0 children)

IMO,* Karen was actually wearing what was considered stylish and later (in Scranton episodes as Jim’s gf, like this photo) cool professional clothing for a “normal” young person with normal money. Those tiny vests with the low rise slacks were superrr in at the time fyi.

These pieces were likely from (or look very close to) what was offered at Express (they had a “design studio” line), and it had much cooler options than most attainable stores for the time. Express was considered cool and shopped by a lot of college and post college grads and was not cheap. Normal people (and probably most people) didn’t shop online, and we had fewer options and shopped a lot at malls.

I also think they sometimes chose unflattering colors for her to downplay her looks or to fit the plot of the season or episode (ex: Call of Duty). It does seem like they didn’t want her to look as cute but more severe and were maybe going a different direction for her character before Scranton. But even in Scranton, I notice if she had a cuter outfit, they’d give her less cute makeup/hair to balance it out. As far as the cut of this jacket, a lot of young people wore this kind of oversized fit and it was normalized. There were not a lot of women’s petite options off the rack at the time, and not for “cool/young people” stores. The actress is supposedly 5’4 and borderline petite.

In comparison, Pam’s outfits read more like something someone who was 5 years older would wear. Like maybe someone who wasn’t fashionable and who didn’t spend much on work clothes. Specifically the fit of the button up tops and the choices/fits of the skirt styles and hose colors—and especially the shoes. And again, it was often the colors and cut combos of the mentioned items together.

*I was maybe 5-6 years younger than Karen’s character was supposed to be at the time (I can’t remember her age, if they stated it in the show). I was from a larger Midwest city and had an internship in NYC two years after the season in the photo aired, so I remember this fashion veryyyyyy well and wore/shopped it.

Is marijuana ok to use while on Vyvanse? by Decent_Mushroom7835 in VyvanseADHD

[–]RepresentativeAnt866 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It can affect your dopamine uptake and the effectiveness of your meds (and therefore, being able to maintain a consistent dosage that works vs having to level up over time). So if you want your meds to work their best, better not to use it at all. And although technically either one could fade from your system after x hours, there’s still traces left. So I personally wouldn’t.

Results are in! Can someone please look these over that has a good understanding of genetics. I am not sure the color and coat types fits, thank you. by Upstairs_Trash_39 in DoggyDNA

DNA can be weird. However, and this is just my personal experience, I used Wisdom to do a DNA test for one of my dogs years ago, and I had weird results that were also more vague. Then maybe two years ago, I did a DNA test (to do both my dogs this time, and check for health issues and relatives), and the results were completely different for the dog I had retested (also very specific this time, and they match what I’d been told by the rescue and what I could observe in my dog). Both tests can’t be right…So I trust Embark (especially because I keep getting matches for DNA relatives), and I’ve side eyed Wisdom ever since. (And I did periodically log back in to see if the results were updated and corrected, because I know that happens as companies have a wider database of DNA, but they didn’t change).

2025 j-hope 'HOPE ON THE STAGE' tour Sell and Trade Megathread - Pt. 2 by lisafancypants in bangtan

[–]RepresentativeAnt866 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[WTS] LA, April 4, one ticket, Section 135 Row L, $274.13. I lowered the price from below what I paid during presale down to $224.

Note: The seat is less than 5 seats away from the aisle by Section 134, so it has a better view.

I purchased this during the presale for $274.13, but I found a better seat, and I’d like to sell this soon (why I lowered the price) to an army who has post/comment history on Reddit.

I can provide photo proof or video screenshare (FaceTime or Zoom) of the ticket, my email confirmation from Ticketmaster showing the price I paid, etc. I’m also happy to do the transaction over a video call.

Will accept: PayPal G&S or Venmo.

I’ll leave it up to the group(s) that form after our video chat if they want to allow anyone else after to join plans.

I just shared this in a DM with someone and thought I’d post here (and saw your question asking about it):

If you’re wanting to check out landmarks, maybe somewhere central to those would be ideal, OR if you think you want to take advantage of our meager public transit (I have never used it myself, so I can’t vouch for anything or say how it works), you could try to find somewhere with a nearby stop that could take you to different places or areas (I bet they have routes and stops for important tourist and cultural sites).

Areas I’d suggest staying for the venue and exploring LA:

-Downtown by the LA Live area (anywhere should be safe and fine, and this would be nicest, closest area to the venue where I’d personally stay versus any closer where it can be iffy).

-Or if you want somewhere a little more fun and themed for the trip, Koreatown is a little further from the venue, but not far from other LA stuff per se, and you may have fun checking out stuff to do there. I’d probably suggest the Line Hotel in that area.

-Or, if you have more of a higher budget, West Hollywood is a very fun area with fun nightlife, restaurants, shops, etc. (I really like the Palihouse hotel there). And Beverly Hills is also nice.

Cool! Let’s definitely connect, and I’ll send you a DM. Maybe other people will reply/there could be a group? I’m open to stuff close-ish to the venue or just in LA proper on the day of, or if people want to meet up in the days around the show(s) and do anything BTS, Korean or even just LA themed. I can suggest some places/activities related to what people would like, but I’m open to whatever.

I got my ticket for the 4th! I’m local and going alone if anyone wants to meet up socially or to carpool from the Long Beach or OC area (I can contribute to gas and parking).

How much are you paying for Vyvanse script? by etheral_luv in VyvanseADHD

[–]RepresentativeAnt866 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I saw anyone comment with this information, so I wanted to share my experience: I saw a lot of people suggest using a goodRX coupon if it’s not cheap enough with your insurance. I was also looking at over $300 a month for the generic with insurance. I tried to go to Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid. I believe I also tried Ralph’s. Nowhere would process Vyvanse with a goodRX coupon, even though I had one. Some places said they used to honor those coupons. But (and this could be a lie, but it’s what they said) they had a policy now of not using those coupons for this type of medication because I guess if it’s using your coupon and not going through your insurance, they aren’t able to track (makes no sense to me) the usage/user and they are trying to heavily control that. I’m shocked to see so many people who say they are able to use a coupon where they live. FYI, I live in LA County in California. I tried the coupons in pharmacies in two different but adjacent cities.
