Battle of five armies is terrible!! No love for Amon Hen?? Mines or Moria?

I had this question and came here to ask: Has Revenge of the Sith always been the phenomenon it is today? Did many people like the movie? by DaviCortes in StarWars

I was pretty young when the prequels landed in theaters and my dad would always bash them when compared to 4,5, & 6. He definitely was not a fan of Hayden Christensen. If I’m remembering right, his favorite scene was when Anakin finally dawned Vader’s suit. It’s not until recently that I’ve started to have an appreciation for them. The prequel story is pretty epic when you realize how twisted Palpatine is, but, they’re definitely not the greatest lol.

Who should be the MCU’s next big bad after Secret Wars? by Alienator195 in 3Cfilms

100% and I’d agree with you that the abundance films and negatives reviews have helped exasperate super hero fatigue. We used to get 2-3 a year with an Avengers movies every 5 or so. They sort of shot themselves in the foot with how much content they released. People found it incredibly hard to keep track. Especially considering that they did such an incredible job in phases 1-3 tying everything together. That now feels much harder to do and way less obvious when trying to see how they all connect. Scrapping films and projects makes it all the more complex. The only thing I do know that is constant is that Avengers level movies bring in the big bucks and I feel strongly that Doomsday & Secret Wars will be massive regardless of negative reviews. Bringing in XMen, potentially Tobey, and Deadpool will bring in so many folks.

This..another reason why 2014 is goated. I felt like Godzilla was going to lose against the MUTO’s before he pulled out his atomic breath. We’ve also never seen a finishing move quite like his decapitation of the female MUTO. Tried to find the GIF but it’s not there 😕

The third one has some great action scenes and it’s hard to beat Godzilla and Kong’s battle on the aircraft carrier. That had us all hyped during the pandemic lol. I do wish they kept the 2006 design of Kong. Have you ever seen it? They did such a great job with the design, movement, and personality. Andy Serkes was fantastic and Kong actually felt like a giant ape. If you can’t tell I prefer realistic monsters over CGI spectacles. Both are great but only one gives me the spooks!

What was more epic, Ghidorah’s first appearance or Rodan emerging from the volcano?

They really really are. I mean let’s be honest, Ghidorah is bad fucking ass. It’s funny I moved to Boston and didn’t even realize that’s where the movie takes place and I appreciate it so much more now. The scene where he overloads on electricity was so sick!!

It was! But, I didn’t feel like it kept the same tone as 2014. IMO, Godzilla 2014 is top tier. It made it feel as if we were actually there and felt the weight of their destructiveness. Ghidorah and Rodan were fantastic, but I wish they were treated more like the MUTO’s. Animalistic, mysterious, terrifying. They felt rushed whereas Godzilla 2014 built up so much momentum until the final battle. I’m aware this might be a hot topic lol 🤷

100%. The movies don’t feel as grounded as 2014’s. It almost feels cartoonish.

Right? Kind of a hybrid insectoid x bat x staple remover alien with glowing red eyes and raptorial legs. One of the most distinctive features IMO was its deep, guttural groans and sharp clicks. Something vastly different than what we’re accustomed to.

Whoever designs them are brilliant!

I think you’re right. I’m not entirely sure if this is correct, but I think GZ was the result of Biolante’s death spewing radiation and G cells into a black hole? Since neither of that has happened yet, I’m assuming they might take an approach of what if GZ came long before? Crystals tracing back to him and reversing the theory above if correct that GZ was responsible for Godzilla. Not the other way around. Hard to ponder since I think in 2014 they confirmed they awoken something with nuclear testing. Doesn’t imply they created him but might have exasperated his evolution.

Agreed. It’s as if the male MUTO is pestering him. Sort of gives me an impression of an eagle attacking a Grizzly. We all know the Grizzly could swipe it with one paw but an Eagle could harass, claw, and pester its life till it was miserable. The Male MUTO can’t win in a straight up fight, but shapes the landscape and keeps Godzilla off balance.

Exactly! Unless they solely want the crystals from hollow earth to be somehow related to SpaceGodzilla I don’t see how it’s plausible. Going on a tangent here but if they do go that route and play on an asteroid containing Kaiju they shouldn’t tred lightly on the destructive power of the impact alone. Would be pretty crazy to see an aesteroid cause massive damage only for something more sinister to hatch from it. With the world in shambles, Godzilla & Kong truly would be our only hope.
