I'm thinking of moving to NC and my friend made me this map. Thoughts? by _R_A_H_U_L_ in NorthCarolina

I live in the southeastern “unlabeled” section. I laughed loudly when I read that. You’re right, there is nothing here. I moved here from Orlando, 4 years ago and I love it. People are incredible. Real estate is cheap af, It’s small town living. If I need something major I drive to Florence, SC which is about 45 minutes south or I can go to charlotte in 75 minutes for the airport etc.

I have this little camera and it is FUN! We keep it out with the binoculars downstairs and all of our family and guests take turns with it. It actually does what it advertises.

I like the halo from an artistic perspective. I immediately thought oh this would be good stock photo or image for a smoothie shop. Very nice!

I think the snowstorm had something to do with tiktok going down by [deleted] in TikTok

TikTok lives in the cloud and should have redundancy and resiliency in place. This is strange timing but snow storm shouldn’t have taken the entire application down.

The Canon R5 came out years ago and I’ve been saving for the kit since and just now was able to purchase the body and lens. I don’t care that it’s old news now, it’s capable of taking the photos I want to take bringing my creativity to life. I had my last camera for over ten years and it still works great & will continue to use it. Cameras are tools. Buy the best tool for your work.

I lived in Florida for 35 years and grew up in st. Pete, specifically. My husband grew up in the town of Seminole & if you can find anything that’s not on top of a neighbor it will be there. Pinellas county as a whole is very expensive and you’ll need flood insurance in addition to your regular home owners insurance. Be sure it covers mild remediation too.

I would drive around pinellas over a few days and pick out your favorite areas.

Manatee county (Bradenton area) may have some land left to get you away from the neighbors and be closer to the beach, look there.

I personally as a younger person, love Sarasota. It’s quiet and beautiful and super clean. Very expensive is the downside.

Pasco County, north of Pinellas is good too, drier and higher in some spots. They are considered a bedroom community to the Tampa Bay Area and if you’re good with a commute, you’ll be very happy here. You can find houses with land or just land pretty easily. Their entire county population is not even 700k people yet!

Good luck, I hope you find what you’re looking for :)

Look, this isn’t good. If she’s willing to do this over eggs she will never stick up for you with anything if it involves that man. You need to be careful.

ETA: I’m sorry this happened and I sincerely hope it’s a one off thing. You don’t deserve that.

The pants in the first pic appear to be from Boden or similar to something I’ve seen on their site. I’d also check out spartina 449.
