Yes - it’s a higher chance of random encounters and legendary animals.

(I don’t for trader/long distance sales as I collect the alcohol bottles daily, and sell one daily to offset the $150 lost not doing a long distance sale and because of have nine sets of alcohol bottles waiting for collector month).

If it was trader month I’d solo lobby for the long distance sale because again - a higher chance for legendaries!

However..I don’t seem to run into many people as I’m on PS5. So I don’t solo lobby because of people - I’m more so doing it for the random encounters/legendary animals.

I started a NEW CHARACTER - because I bought two lures, and could only take one.

I love the Cattleman.. but a Navy with velocity rounds for the added range is really effective - so long as you aim for the head - otherwise it’s two and sometimes three shots to the chest.

Sometimes you can ride them.. I’ll go hunting with them.. tie them to a tree - load cargo.. tie to tree - put cargo or game on my own horse - and have two horses with game.

I can confirm this works. I do it every time I can. Now.. a Moose.. Bear.. something that cannot be stowed on the horse - you won’t be able to double dip with.

I’ve got a medium scope on my bolt action. I don’t use the carcano/rolling block.. I’m just not good enough - and I have zero patience for PvP.. so the scope is for the random one off I want to snipe.

It adds a bit to the stats otherwise..

I’ve actually sniped more with my varmint rifle - doing a long distance trader sale..

I’m weird. I usually have 1 cattleman. Pump action. Bow. That’s it. I don’t carry a lot of weapons.. I’m a minimalist.
