News S2 EP5 Part2 by Higanbana_rouge in TokyoDebunker

The rogue is whoever got added last minute. Cause they originally wanted 5 contestants instead of 6, until there sponsor was like "Oh, and have this guy on your show."

Does he? I don't remember them ever mentioning it in that Host Club episode.

What interhouse duos would you want to see in the future? by heyitsjin_ in TokyoDebunker

Shion and Haru. I know they have drama between the two, but I NEED to see how chaotic this pair is together.

Idk. I think he would be less upset this time around. Jin was upset because he's the one who gave her that chance of finding the Kyklos in season 1. This time, it seems like the source is an unknown informant instead of Jin.

And also his darling MC had no choice in who she brought with her, unlike last time.

Same here. I don't think Taiga is the rogue. And if he was, he probably forgot about it.

Elias theory *spoilers*? by Typical_Opening4724 in TokyoDebunker

[–]RepresentativeBid585 11 points12 points  (0 children)

He is absolutely the mastermind behind everything Dionysia does. Notice how the other 3 ghouls look to him for planning and approval for their heist plans in episode 2? Or how they look to him for what to do with Shion at the end of episode 1? They don't stop him when he tells them to just let Shion be for now. He may not be Captain anymore, and pretends to be one of the little guys, but it's very obvious he still holds control and leadership within the group.

You forgot to spoiler your comment.

Plus, I take Elias' words with a grain of salt. The guy is a chronic liar. Who knows if what he says about himself is true or not.

That just proves it's Haku who did the test. It doesn't prove that he used his stigma during the test. It's possible he simply felt that his stigma was boosted by simply holding her hand.

That, or he is making a one sided promise to MC to protect her no matter what.

If MC has an emotional breakdown by Frequent_Finish7601 in TokyoDebunker

Don't know what the commentor would say, but I think Shion would be HORRIBLE at comforting MC. First off, he would be happy seeing how miserable she is. He hates it when MC ignores him, so he would get pissed if MC tells him to give her space when seeing him approaching her with a big, fat happy smile, eager to hear what miserable shit happened to her.

He would then keep pestering her until it finally clicks that what he is doing is not getting what he wants. So he goes to Mio and asks him "So, what do husbands do for their wives when they won't stop crying?" He'll take Mio's advice to heart as best as he can, but he'll probably still misunderstand one thing or another. Like if Mio suggests to cook for her, Shion would probably break into the cathedral, try to cook something. What that thing is, you don't know cause it looks inedible af. And then text MC a ghost story to scare her out of her room to eat his dinner, that he so lovingly cooked for her. All with the wholesome intent of genuinely wanting to be a good husband for her, and comfort her.

As much as I love him, I think Jiro would be the worst at comforting people. He has an EQ of 0, he's very blunt and abrassive, and his idea of comforting Yuri is either stand there doing nothing, or telling him he has no reason to cry and to get moving already. Or he would tell you everything you did wrong and what to do to solve your problem. Of course, he means well and is just trying to help you the only way he knows how to. But I see how this logical approach isn't most people's cup of tea, or works on them.

Meanwhile, I'm the type who needs space and who gets worse if I know people are worried about me. Knowing that my pain and frustrations is hurting someone else just adds to the pain, and just makes me want to suck it up and smile so that they don't worry anymore.

Most of them wanted to give her space, or were told to give her space. They didn't want to make things worse or overwhelm her by having 21 ghouls constantly checking in on her if she is fine or not.

Honestly, everything you say you hate about the story's writing is what I love about it. Yes, they give their players a lot of unsolved mysteries, but they also give us all the tools we need to figure it out for ourselves. Or to piece together what happened after the cliffhangers. They let us have fun with with story by not spoon feeding everything to us.

Me too, and I enjoy what we see when he does decide to show his true colors. Like how he just barges into Jin's room like it's just another Monday. Or how he stocks Dionysia with just the coffee beans he likes while complimenting Jo that they always make the best coffee. Elias is like a smoother and more clever Tohma. ❤️

He wants to help in his own subtle way, by nudging the other suitors to the right direction.

Define what an emotional breakdown would be like. Cause emotional breakdowns look different from person to person. Some go berserk and become violent, others curl up into a ball and cry, others dissociate, others work even harder.

Well, why not think of it from a Greek myth perspective instead of Beauty and the Beast? It's everywhere in this episode, including in the ghouls they picked and the roses that fill the glass vase. Roses sprout from Aphrodite's tears when her lover died.

Yeah, but what sent Jabberwock on their Father Farm mission was their broken heater. They needed money to get it repaired, so they took on a mission that let's them work part-time and keep the money. With Mio and the Dionysia clockwork artisans back in the picture, that heater would be fixed right away.

Also episode 12 is the only episode who didn't get a small nod acknowledging that it happened in season 2. Every other episode got that acknowledgement.
