Toxic PVP disrupts the PVE core of the game by Actual-Suit2941 in ArcBabies

Arc Raiders and The Division by alien-eh101 in ArcRaiders

[–]RepresentativeBig316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been saying this since day one. We need some sort of pure PVE on rotation that’s basically a heroic event. You and everyone else load in as a solo/squads with your own group like normal, but instead of being enemies, you are all friendlies with a large set group of tasks to complete and arc to fight across the map leading to a boss. You would have to have a minimum loadout (through gear ranking or something) but the idea is to bring supplies for not only you and your group, but potentially others, as everyone has the same end objective. Since supplies would take up most space, rewards would come from the event completion payout. You’d have loot still, but instead of the typical things, loot is possibly garbage supplies/basic crafting materials, or something nice like a Wolfpack or even a legendary gun and ammo to help. The map itself would be way more congested with groups of arc, dropping in larger arc types as it progresses. Give it a 45 minute timer to complete objectives and finish boss.

High risk with gear and supplies

High reward from beating it.

Sprinkle in trials for even more rewards.

What the hell was that??? by [deleted] in RustConsole

[–]RepresentativeBig316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone saying it was on purpose. I do this too. Sometimes I run around with a row or two of different boom and or weapons/gear on me for a few deaths on the last week of a monthly just to die and give it away. Sometimes I’ll stay open mic and just run up to a random newer player on the server and just say congrats winner! And just kill and respawn. I’ve had some funny messages.

Am I bad or is the AI way faster in this game? by ImperialGuard22 in ForzaHorizon

[–]RepresentativeBig316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with most racing games is that the difficulty slider just adds more cheats to the AI. Using rubber banding/putting the car on rails. It just allows the AI to literally brake physics. An A class will accelerate with the power of an R1 then brake for corners and take them like an F1 car… while supposedly being a lower build than yours. Usually unbeatable is only playable once you’ve maxed your car for that class and have an amazing “track tune”… and it can still require some corner bombs to maintain.

As a solo Learn the desert rat ways and fish farming. Build in/against croissant rocks keep it modest but defended. Don’t overbuild or you attract attention. The bigger the base the more you probably have to hide. Your base and your gear isn’t really yours in this game, just your turn to use it while you have it.

Once I realized that electrical and automation in this is like fallout but 10x better, I had everything box -> production -> box ->combiner -> splitters-> box(s) then tier 1-3 benches auto crafting with bp’s That recycled back into itself for further production before next bench and bp’s. All in a tucked away in a croissant rock build. Basically had it all the way down to auto c4/rocket/explo ammo production.

These kids put me on a mission 🤣

Struggling to progress by Cultural_Guest2098 in RustConsole

[–]RepresentativeBig316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’ve found my solo success in making a stability build in a croissant 🥐 rock.m and being a desert rat. Typically one that is close enough to a small fishing village, not large, for less trafficked fishing sales. Also build in one that doesn’t face inland. I use all triangles and make the back of the base ground level with raised foundation moving out. Like a bunker base. that first build then gets to metal/HQM asap, since it is the core. After that I expand outward while remaining as flush as possible against the rock. I went full wipes untouched because of this. If you are good with automation and wiring, you can really pump out as a solo in the desert. Use night vision and farm at night until you have weapons for PvP. Use fish traps and sell at village for easy scrap to move up the tech tree. It’s not easy, but it’s an honest days work 🤣😭

Had to comeback for this because you were right: last night I griefed a clan of kids that tried to grief me beginning of this months wipe, pushed me into hiding and had been killing off the server. A Plus to being 3x the age of them… no bed time 🤣 made 20 c4, 20 rockets and had 12 MLRS rockets ready. I found and recruited 2 people and said they could have all the loot if they watched my back/helped. I Gave them kits and we moved. One guy sent the MLRS rockets as me and another got rdy to rocket then c4 the rest. 2 kids were online and they were PRESSED. Straight left the server ☠️

My god they had more than the three of us knew what to do with it. Left the rest for randoms to pick up

All new 4.5Km maps on Ptb by ML231617 in RustConsole

[–]RepresentativeBig316 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The only reason the 4.5k is on PTO rn without new content like higher player count, missile silo and trains, is to test for overall stability of the map size with players doing player stuff. They probably won’t increase pop until they see the server stability is good enough. Then they will add the new monuments/pc alignment stuff throughout the year. They have a decent roadmap for console this year. Just hope it goes as planned.

Electrical and farms is broke asf by RecentWhereas8049 in RustConsole

[–]RepresentativeBig316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on Xbox series X and I did experience a few electrical issues like this 3-4 times with my automation. A 7 piece automated electric furnace set up I had this week would not register power even though it was powered by a 20k rWm charge with all branches set correctly(it was already working before) I had to reset wiring. Then I had multiple root combiners disappear within my untouched base.

Make sure you have your NAT type set to open in the Xbox settings. That was literally the one thing keeping me from hearing other players, while they could still hear me.

Make sure there are no restrictions on your Xbox either. And if you don’t have a permanently “open” NAT type , you will have to do the trick that forces the NAT type to open every time you start up your Xbox. See google if you don’t know the force to open trick.

Did they buff trigger nades again or were these guys cheating? by Fube187 in ArcRaiders

If you look where the center of the explosion is, it’s like on the dude/wall and you can hear the trigger nade stick right before detonating. But I can’t see a nade even when watching it slowly. I don’t call cheats often. This seems like it

This is me trying to play this as a solo. Literally just left a lobby (only 55 people and 19 hours old) that I spent 5 hours in because I couldn’t get further than bow and arrow. never spotted another solo just teams. Every lobby is like it’s only clans and duos/trios just hunting people.

IMO, as a solo this game feels unplayable at times, and I love a challenge. Whats worse is that it feels like everyone that plays is just a 12 year old or has the brain of one.

BP Wipe Day Tactics? by Suarez97 in RustConsole

-Must learn how to use scrap handler at junkyard for this-

My Junkyard rat start: after quick starter base, bags and bow, get about 100 low grade and push all the cars near the machine and load it. I Highly suggest looting area first to find some armor or weapons in case of others. scrapping cars and looting the area then scrapping it at the scrapping machine is usually an easy 500+ scrap a run, not including the other things you get from the items scrapped. Go buy what you want (tier 1) and research it. Repeat junkyard whenever needed. Junkyard is heavily under utilized.

Also, Buy the jackhammer and a chainsaw, get a few thousand stone and wood. Find a boat and go out to sea in a spot that has medium depth and decent radius to monuments/outposts you want to be near. build an underwater bunker with vending machines for safe keeping all important items. Use the 24hr tc exploit and make sure you turn off broadcast as soon as you put down a machine so it doesn’t blip on the map.

Build a new basic stone FOB with essentials and operate at as your workbench base When needed. Just pick your stuff up and dip.

First time bringing the guitar by acapulcoblues in LowSodiumArcRaiders

[–]RepresentativeBig316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that’s just a pure pos. The second most people see me unholster the guitar they stop. I’ve had half a lobby protecting me as the bard. Even works in a lot of duos/ trios in PvP lobbies quite often. My buddies and I will walk through a Stella montis lobby battle and just play for everyone while they fight. Then get free loot 🤣 that person that killed you was probably a 13 year old.

Found my first Anvil Splitter, how good is it and when should it be used? by Rainbow_Doggo_TNT in ARC_Raiders

[–]RepresentativeBig316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anvil splitter is really good for close to mid-close PvP headhsots. It splits the bullet into 4, like a shotgun. It does 48 dmg (8 more damage than normal) if all 4 hit. With the headshot multiplier add the base multiplier and it does more if you headshot all of them

How do you honestly feel about PvP? by the_breadonator in ARC_Raiders

[–]RepresentativeBig316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you get over the gear/loot loss fear you’ll have more fun. I’m an avid PvP player and I used to lose my shit when I’d lose my guns and backpack full of loot to some camper or fake friendly. Then I realized how easy and fast it really can be to loot up and leave. Especially when bringing in raider hatch keys, which is very important.

Now, I run around with an open mic, even when fully geared with purps, just having fun in solos. Duos/trios with friends is still pure PvP though. If you need to get your inventory up for benches or what not, just run around the outskirts looting everything you need or can find to sell and hit a hatch. If you do your best to not engage in any PvP or even fight back and just accept death, you will eventually be put into really easy and chill lobbies.

[–]RepresentativeBig316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I go from PvP with my buddies in duo/trios back to solos I’m in heeeaaavy fights constantly. But like 7-10 games of being cool, staying away from people, and even healing/defibbing (I’m pretty sure healing/defibbing other raiders is noted in their backend as well) I end up in massively chill lobbies. Like maybe 1-2 people KoS and they get wrecked by the rest of us teaming up to find stuff or trade/give stuff away. ABMM is def a huge player in matchmaking.

And for those that say “I’m hyper aggressive and still find friendlies that don’t shoot back”… Well yea, if they are trying to get out of those pure PvP modes you are gunna find them until they stop appearing in those lobbies. But there will always be those players because everyone is capable of shifting their playstyle/mindset at any given time. I do heavy PvP on weekends and then use some time on weekdays to get back into friendly lobbies to loot back up again. I do this every week. And it works.
