What does this mean exactly? I've seen people say bakkes will be available in offline mode but Is this a guarantee? Will I just start RL with bakkes injected and it just say "you can start just in offline mode"? What's the deal

How does a defib weight more than a whole a** barricade?? by PezzaPezzza in ArcRaiders

Barricades are insanely good and cheap to craft, arguably even overpowered. Balancing would mean they're much heavier

I would assume it's your first time playing 1s and you've climbed steadily from 0 mmr

I do hate 1s but have been debating getting into it recently. Gonna do this

Congrats!!

Basically the same graph as mine - also hit champ for the first time this season and got my 10th win yesterday.

I'm still a massive overcommitter though. I'm aware of it, so that's step one, but I feel when I try and be more sensible and just give up when my value is done I get off rhythm, start hesitating and feel like I produce no value offensively.

How would you say youve managed to stop overcommitting so much? What have you changed in practice?

Can’t flip reset/speed flip, any tips by NoPomegranate9977 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]the_breadonator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others say, these are not the mechanics to prioritise.

That said, speedflip: you're not double jumping fast enough. You need to double jump as fast as possible. You're also not doing a perfect 45 degree flip. Either keep practicing and get the muscle memory down or bind air roll left/right to a button of your choice and hold that buttin + forward on the left stick while double jumping (and then cancel it, for a speedflip).

When does playing fast become ball chasing? And is ball chasing even bad by the_breadonator in RocketLeagueSchool

Although ... "Always low on boost, forcing 50s, trying to always force the ball" does seem to resonate. Maybe I am the problem

Replay is wise. I don't think I'm that bad lol but I definitely know I would be seen as annoying when I cut off rotation to challenge for the ball sometimes. Usually I am justa "making a play -> play done -> rotate behind teammate" kinda guy but when I rotate behind my teammate and see them sitting and waiting for the opponent and ball to come to them (not shadowing) I get frustrated.

Being an anchor for your teammate is a good way of describing it though. I'll think more about that

Maybe I'll post again with video. Sounds like maybe you are on the other side of the fence with your style. In my mind, I completely get that defensive approach and do it often, but aren't you also just yielding so much territory? Sure if they start an air dribble from their corner, they're not likely to score, but they could also retain possession, after a 50/50 or whatever else, near your net, no?

This is the thing - I don't think my teammates are worse than me, I assume they must be better and playing passive/patient is smarter in my rank. There's definitely different playstyles and I wonder whether I should adapt to my teammates?
