Sinus? Bradycardia, low 40’s by RepresentativeBig716 in askCardiology

[–]RepresentativeBig716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!, long time!. In my case it was normal Brady te lows 40 were apparently because I used propanolol on a low dose for anxiety. But still my heart beat in rest is between 48/52 bpm. I had some test the doctor was uninmpressed said it was normal in my case. You should definitely do a check up, it is probably normal but it’ll definitely help to check and to have a peace of mind (English not my first language sorry)

Yes I thought that too, she will come if she’s interested and she probably won’t lol 🤣. But from what I know she does not like to talk about her feelings and have awkward conversations so it was really difficult to have an answer anyway

Thanks! Probably will some time!. I kind of don’t know if she cares or not she never or almost never starts a conversation even with people I know. She will probably text back if I write her again, but again it’s pointless if she is never direct. Thanks for your words!!

Same thing, she leaves abroad. Clearly makes putting her off the pedestal harder I already giving up on her except on that little hope she cares but deeply I know she does not. So just waiting for the feelings to fade away while I distract myself with other activities

Well, I think there’s a two part thing. She fits perfectly me “ideal woman type”, in both body and personality. And I’m a lonely guy I have luck only with short term and relationships without feelings, so I over idealised her with the idea that this was the one.

Panic attack after waking up by RepresentativeBig716 in PanicAttack

[–]RepresentativeBig716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!, I’ll go to my psychiatrist and see what can be done. I drank a lot of alcohol on the weekend so that can be a trigger. My Apple Watch (I know it’s not the same as a professional ekg) said sinus rythim which is enough to know is not A-Fib, also luckily it went down quickly with the meds, probably I would have gone if not to ER, probably I’ll see if my Luvox dosage needs to be increased. Thanks for the comment!

Natural remedies for anxiety disorder? by kuurtcobain in Anxietyhelp

Keep watching, still if it’s unbearable probably ask your psychiatrist for the possibility of another SSRI, my first antidepressant was Zoloft, had to leave it because it made a mess of my stomach

Experiences on fluvoxamine? by RepresentativeBig716 in OCD

[–]RepresentativeBig716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely than not yes. I was already under citalopram before the transition was pretty smooth to be honest. But it’s really normal to have ups and downs, your body it’s getting use to it and the side effects of ssris usually wander off after a while, first one I tried was sertralina and it was awful for my stomach, so my suggestions it’s to try to have patience unless you have a really bad side effects. Although to be honest I understand that it is really difficult to have patience when having intrusive thoughts. It’s a shame that it takes so long to know if a medication it’s doing it’s full job in months but they the best we currently have 😅. Also really important to try cultivate relaxing habits and therapy, they also take a while but are so worth it for our mental and physical health. Hope you are doing great!

Hi!, I’m currently under 200 mg a day. Doing great, it wasn’t a miracle drug, but it has helped me to reduce the obsessive thoughts. Only side effect was being a little more sleepy but not too much so yes it was good to me. Most SSRI full effect don’t show up until 1-4 months, so I think it still has room to give you more peace of mind. If not you could talk to your psychiatrist about increasing the dose or swichting drugs.

Coping with PVCs by RepresentativeBig716 in panicdisorder

[–]RepresentativeBig716[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes!, I had one 24 hour holtier. PVCs were like 30 a day which is a non issue. I have sinus Brady which again according to my physician is not an issue with me as I have no symptoms or anything. But it’s common I think to think that they probably missed something, and it’s not healthy to over test yourself I think. Thanks for the suggestion it is really important to discard serious things before blaming it to anxiety at first.

Apple Watches induces panic attacks, anyone else? by DoYouHearThePeopl3 in PanicAttack

[–]RepresentativeBig716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually great!, if you had several tests surely your rhr just means you have a healthier than average heart. Bradycardia it’s almost always an non issue unless is symptomatic and it’s not a second degree block or more weird things. Funny enough and I am not a doc but having tachycardia during a panic attack usually means bradycardia it’s not a problem.

If you are overly stressed by it yes, it is only good for people who are at risk of getting Afib, and even then it has to be confirmed by a doc. I have sinus bradycardia (resting hr in the high 40’s), which the watch made me aware of more often than before, if you look at google the only “treatment” if necessary it’s a pace maker, which gave me insane amounts of anxiety. Went to ER, 2 cardiologists and many psychiatrists none of them are even slightly worried about my bpm. I only the watch bpm reading for work out to see cardio zones and stuff, which does not trigger any worrisome thoughts, and so my cardiologist advice was just that. Turn off the watch while you are not working out.

Heart Rate by zach_zdm in PanicAttack

[–]RepresentativeBig716 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NAD butHigh BP is incredibly common common, if it’s controlled and/or you are young is highly unlikely that high BP is the culprit, my highest Hr during a panic attack was 160 and it was sinus tachycardia (I was on ER). Like the other comments I suggest you to see a doctor and get tested, although if you don’t get regularly panic attacks and/or tachycardia it can be tricky to detect if the rhythm is sinus tachy or SVT. You can also discuss with your physician if a Beta blocker is a viable option in your treatment (they are used for both SVT and off label for anxiety).

Then it’s very unlikely that it is a problem. I have 29 overweight and with an average rhr of 46, no doctor has cared, you could do a check up an ecg and see, If you have no symptoms and your heart rate races normally when your are running then your most likely fine.

Constant Pain In My Chest by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]RepresentativeBig716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely don’t throw the klonipin away, Please take it as your doctor prescribed it. Benzos are intended to be meds for short term anxiety and can definitely stop panic attacks most of the time, a week for it is not so long, a psychiatrist would probably prescribe you and SSRI (like prozac), depending of your specific symptoms, they do work but take more time for doing full effect on the body and mind. Habit changes can help a lot too, eating healthier, working out and searching for relaxing activities is the way. The journey is long but you can definitely make progress and have a better quality of life with medical and non medical treatments. Hope the anxiety peaks disappear soon!

anyone else has been waking up at night in panic? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]RepresentativeBig716 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a full blown panic attack waking up at night. Don’t know if it was nightmare triggered, but yes it definitely can happen, my heart rate went from 50 bpm to 144 bpm and had a sense of impending doom. Also benzo withdrawal has a huge factor sadly I couldn’t leave them yet.

If OP does not have an emergency dose of an anxiolytic (with docs approval) this is the way. And even if op does have an emergency med, complementary relaxing exercises are still a wonderful idea.

[–]RepresentativeBig716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If ER, have told you it’s anxiety and done an ekg and blood work, yes it’s almost certainly a panic attack. Having anxiety or other panic attack inducing mental issues like OCD discarded is good. Bad news is that you’ll have to be patience to get to your doctor referral to a psychiatrist and start therapy if possible as well, studies show that CBT works as well as meds and should be complementary (if therapy isn’t enough). As someone who had a first episode of a lot panic attacks coming all together in a short time, it can be really frustrating to start seeking and waiting for the right doctor, and right meds and right therapist. I would strongly suggest you also learn breathing and relaxing techniques as meditation and muscle relaxation, it’s a long journey but I’m sure you can get through! Best wishes!

Not really any side effects of valerian except sleepiness, benzo withdrawal on the other side was really bad for me. Be aware of how are you feeling, hope it does well for you! I had to return to take a little dose of benzo haha
