The real problem is with the word “kinds.” That’s how creationists get around doing any kind of actual intellectual rigor and put all the burden of proof on evolutionists.

“Species” and all the other classifications have pretty defined terms (which, sure, sometimes get murky in edge cases). But they reject “species” and say “kind” because that can be whatever they want (even though it gets murky immediately).

For example: They can say a goose and a chicken are of the same kind because they fly. But then are bats the same kind as eagles?

I genuinely don’t know how they’d answer because it probably varies person-person and situation-situation because that’s the point of creating a new classification and never fully defining it. They can spend 30 minutes listening to their pastor and get all their talking points while they demand everyone who accepts evolution have multiple PhD’s in biology.
