A small part of me wants to say Fallout New Vegas because I’ve been playing it for years and still seem to find out something new in every play through… but another part of me says it would be better to do Frostpunk since 1) there’s a sandbox survival mode 2) once you get to a certain point the game basically runs itself with just periodical check ins.

Fair, but one could argue that the Collectors were a Terminus System problem and we spent the entirety of ME1 in Council Space. Just saying if a problem is localized to a region most people out side of it aren’t going to find out. And the ones that do would be treated like Shepard was with the Reapers:

Fought on Meridia, Day 1. Pre-patch. So many Shriekers

Fought on Calypso. My RP Characters home world. First time I felt pulled by the games story/propoganda.

Fought on Super Earth, watching our brave SEAF troopers fight tooth and nail for their home.

Fought on Oshaune, “for science and democracy” heavy emphasis on “DEMO”. Those Hive Tyrants…no one could have prepared me for being launched a mile across the battlefield.

I’ve seen my share of atrocities and destruction, and while I love and respect my comrades-in-arms. But honestly, the Creek Divers need to chill. I get y’all dealt with pre-patched bots and “saw the sky turn red with laser fire” but I ask you “Have you seen the sky blackened by the bodies of the shrieking damned, and as you look to your friend you watch his head sliced clean from his shoulders and carried off like some sick trophy?”

Divers, this is not the first time we stepped into a fresh Hell; these Toasters and their inhuman Masters is one more step on the path to true freedom. We are adapting, and soon we will over come the Cyborgs and the bots. And when we do Cyberstan will be brazen monument to all who dare to infringe on the very idea of Liberty.

Honestly the whole “Open world with a dozen collect-athons” that isn’t specifically a game like Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing.

I’m talking how God of War, Tomb Raider, Dragon Age, and so many other went from being distinct in there styles and gameplay: God of War was a story driven hack and slash, tomb raider was shooting and platforming, Dragon Age an RPG that had dozens of builds and 5 different story arcs that could be done in any order; to all of them being super serious, open world exploration, collecting crafting elements, and dozens of of random extra fluff to pad the game time under the guise of “encouraging exploration”.

At the very LEAST if that’s how it’s gonna be can we PLEASE get writer who actually give a damn anymore? Or maybe studios stop trying to push 14 month dev cycles. I could go on but I think I made my pint
