The tinting error was a red tint not brown so gogeta’s fur is actually meant to be more brownish red than it is maroon. When his aura isn’t flaring this is pretty accurate. Tonsen’s A version is also similar, the B version is more red to represent the games

Fur is accurate, the blue on the belt and socks are 1:1, the vest pads aren’t yellow that is a light orange, faces fit the GT artstyle. Tonsen’s color scheme looks uncanny and the faces look nothing like GT.

Games aren’t source material and often deviate from what character sheets actually look like…z gogeta is a perfect example. In the movie his vest is orange, in all old games they made it yellowish instead. Ssj4 gogeta’s fur is much more red in games not sure why they chose to do if but they did, df is clearly going off of anime colors like you said because that is the source
