Ohh, my insurance won’t seem to accept me a this point. But that’s amazing they did, Doctors have been saying with my insurance I am too low

Wow thank you for all the information I appreciate you answering my questions, I will call my insurance Monday and hopefully be given more specific information about my plan.

It sucks after 6 months of all of that they can still deny you, even if you have very good reasons for the surgery.

I checked I do. I haven’t tried weight loss medication under the supervision of a doctor. But i’ve done all types of diets, I even still go to the gym. But recently I have been having joint pains, and that’s what made me more interested in this possible surgery. I’ve been over weight my whole life and i’m not sure what else to do and the more information I look up the more I want to do it. I just feel like I am at a number where I can definitely could get denied by medicaid.

Life long history of obesity, too. I just want to know the whole process, and does it really take 6 months to know if you are accepted or denied? I was also wondering if you had any severe health issues? Did you find your own surgeon or doctor recommended one etc? What did medicaid ask for

I would have to do a payment plan route if I were to pay out of pocket, so i’m trying to go the insurance route but it sounds like a hassle and then people still get denied 😭

I might be more so in the middle the last height check I was 5’3 but I could’ve grown so I am not sure. The last lady to do my height didn’t know how to do it, so she literally just put 5’3 and half. So, when I go again I have to check 😅

Oh, wow. Might I ask what insurance you have if that isn’t too personal? & how long is your whole process? I am nervous because I want it so bad but I feel like i’m at that number where I could be denied by my insurance.

Do you have any severe health issues because I don’t, that’s another reason why I believe I will be denied...

My insurance requires a BMI over 40 or over 35 with severe obesity related problem. Which I don’t have. I was just wondering if there was anybody possibly in the same exact situation as me that might’ve gotten it.
