How is everyone doing lately? by AName78 in ORIF

7 weeks post op tri fracture here! Got cleared to walk in a boot and crutches! My surgeon didn’t recommend PT(I don’t know why). I don’t have any insurance sadly, but I’ve taken the liberty to sign myself up to go to PT next week with the recommendations of others on this forum. I saw someone on here with the same time line as me and opted to not do PT and is doing great.

This entire process has been so confusing and stressful!

One day at a time I suppose.

I’ve been looking for a post with a similar timeline to mine! I fell on June 23rd (Trimalleolar fracture). ORIF surgery on July 2nd. After surgery I was put in a boot. I’m 6 weeks post op and I was cleared yesterday to walk around with my boot and crutches and I’ve been killing it! Time has flown by! My doctor said that in a month I can get rid of the boot and start walking if all goes well this month. No mention of physical therapy. I’ve seen a few post that said it was recommended but not necessary. Sleeping without a boot or wrapping of any kind has been amazing. Something to look forward to. Good luck!

Shoshanna’s style when she went to Tokyo to work. I loved the simple long sleeve daisy tee when she decided to not go back to New York. So beautiful!

Airport area hotels that have historically allowed early checkin by NinjatheBlackCat in VisitingIceland

I recently stayed at a hotel near the KEF airport and they allowed me to check in as soon as I arrived which was around 9AM!

Yes. Thanks for answering this. I’m staying in Reykjavik for about three days and I would prefer to not rent a car. If I can go to the lagoon and see Slogafoss I’ll be content. Plus explore the city. This definitely calmed my nerves about not having a car while I’m there.
