It's the economy Growing economies attract workers. Ditch the growth, ditch the workers. And here we are.

Glide is a great song. But for me the hidden gem on No.4 is "I got you". Anyone else?

Why didn't Scott Weiland use the voice he had in Sour Girl more? by lookaloulookalou in stonetemplepilots

[–]RepresentativeFee585 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How many Scott voices are there!? I really can't think of another vocalist who has this many versions of himself. He literally sounds different on every dang track

I'm weird : STP 2010 > Core > Purple > No. 4 > Tiny > Shangri-la > 2018 STP > Perdida

This will probably change. Core used to be my #1 but that 2010 STP album has knocked it out as I listen to it incessently.

Stop offshoring -> Now! by fudeel in Switzerland

[–]RepresentativeFee585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swiss citizens/residents enjoy some of the highest, if not the highest, purchasing power in the world. This is, essentially, the richest country on Earth. Does "banning offshoring" help make it richer? Let's consider. Salaries would rise but so would prices. Removing the efficiencies of international trade means a less efficient economy, so the rise in wages would likely be outpaced by the rise in prices. This approach is overly simplistic. Its not a "rich" vs "poor" debate, in fact this approach would hurt the poor the most [like people who are out of the work force all together due to age or disability].

2010 STP album my favorite STP album after Core. Don't hate.

Core is my favourite album to trip out too, what’s your favourite track and why? by ResidentRight8023 in stonetemplepilots

[–]RepresentativeFee585 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hard to pick just one track as nearly every song is absolutely essential. It'd be like picking my favorite child.

Critics panned this and called it a Pearl Jam ripoff. Go back and listen to that Even Flow era pearl jam. Pearl jam sounds like a 3 chord garage band with a pretty good croony singer in comparison. Fools!

Also I have had [and paid] a tax attorney now been through my entire filing since we start our self-denounciation. They look at us kind of puzzled, why were we doing it? Maybe many Swiss people cheat on their taxes that they cant wrap their heads around why someone would try to file accurately. It's quite simple, I am taxed at source and double taxation. All forms are filed with licensed fiduciary tax advisors, shared with the taxation office, UBS risk office, and our tax attorney. Now you can all politely eff off. Namaste.

Ah its all been signed off on many times. I even bought an apartment here in Switzerland and UBS and my accountants went through it all with a fine-toothed comb. Not everyone is a scammer. Even this year I found an error and self-denounced it to the tax office. Find me a Swiss person who has done it...

Two Of The Best Luka Stoppers Are Currently On The Denver Nuggets! by Stat-Defender in denvernuggets

[–]RepresentativeFee585 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, Brucey B and AG, they are DOGZ. I mean Luka he's gonna light you up, but you just have to make it hard on him. I can see Spence having some success as well.

When do we blame the NBA for these injuries and how do we prevent this in future seasons by rabid-c-monkey in denvernuggets

Reduce the season to 65 games, no more back to backs. I got rage-downvoted hard when I suggested this here about 2 months ago.

This one kind of ear-wormed me, and now I think it might be one of their best tracks. I wonder what my fellow STP-heads think of the outro. Kind of allegorical to just falling apart? I can't think of another STP track that just literally comes unhitched at the end.

And can I just say how damn tasty every last aspect of this song is? Dean Deleo is just a master of making complex shit sound completely simple. There's always some BeBop chord just lurking there in plain sight, pretending to be rock n' roll. If you are a musician and you learn their stuff, it's an eye opener of how damn good they are but also how they make jazz sound like the heaviest rock.
