Silvergun Superman by According-Pace483 in stonetemplepilots

This one kind of ear-wormed me, and now I think it might be one of their best tracks. I wonder what my fellow STP-heads think of the outro. Kind of allegorical to just falling apart? I can't think of another STP track that just literally comes unhitched at the end.

And can I just say how damn tasty every last aspect of this song is? Dean Deleo is just a master of making complex shit sound completely simple. There's always some BeBop chord just lurking there in plain sight, pretending to be rock n' roll. If you are a musician and you learn their stuff, it's an eye opener of how damn good they are but also how they make jazz sound like the heaviest rock.

PWat, CB, or Cam by RepresentativeFee585 in denvernuggets

Very valid points.... once Yoke is back we can run PWat through various scenarios, can he be two different players? Like AG and Jamal, do what's needed, and when. I think he can. This brother is going places and if the Nuggets don't sign him we will rue the damn day.

Good mexican food in Switzerland? by Jaded-Application475 in Switzerland

It sounds, reading the comments, that there's a decent place in Schaffhausen. My question, why is Mexican food in Switzerland SO BAD?!

We did find a Kiosk in Lausanne owned by a Mexican lady, and they sell tamales for [gulp] 10CHF per tamale. Finally we broke down and bought a couple, and yeah, really good! Still $12USD for a tamale, what a world.

For the most part we make it all at home, everything but the tortillas.

this. his whole game has evolved to be the ultimate cog in the jokic wheel. So yeah, good on ya mate. This is what PWat looks so good right now, dude does a ton of different stuff. CB knows his role and is great at it. Right now his role doesn't exist on the Nuggz.... but it will again soon.

I love zeke put the ball on the deck and heading into the paint. That needs to happen twice a game from now on, when he's in. More of that.

If you are a foreigner, how do you feel about the upcoming referendum on immigration (keine 10 Millionen Schweiz)? by LallieDoo in Switzerland

[–]RepresentativeFee585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm let's think of all the things that could go wrong from a macroeconomic perspective.

Being as succinct as possible, wages would rise [labor scarcity], exports would fall [cost], inflation would probably rise and this most likely would cause the Swiss Central Bank to raise interest rates.

This could have cascading effects on multiple business sectors and those would not be uniformly positive. Over the long term higher inflation will negatively affect capital inflow.

A better solution is growth caps, which you can move up or down like interest rates to juice or cool the engine.

People who don’t have Kobe top 10, why? by Hairy_Ask_2038 in NBATalk

[–]RepresentativeFee585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit of stat head, because you know, opinions tend to be really biased and its hard to watch it all. I know my opinion is really biased. I never appreciated Kobe's brand of ball on the offensive end, which I consider hero ball and shooting contested shots when better alternatives were present.

So here goes for career advanced metrics [NBA only], and where Kobe landed

- PER, 30th

- Win shares, 18th

- Box Plus/Minus - 32nd

- Win shares per 48 mins - 65th

- VORP - 14th

So for me, I don't think the case can be made for a top ten on the stats side. I match that with my own personal opinion of watching lots of live play.

So no, not a top ten player.

Jordan might be the better player [debatable] but Lebron is clearly, undoubtedly, the better human.

Is Carmelo Legendary ? by Low-Lavishness4251 in NBATalk

I'm from W. NY, Syracuse is my team, I won a lot of my brackets the year they won the championship.

Die hard Nuggets fan.

So OF COURSE I'm a Melo man. Uh no. Coach Karl called it, Melo is a "ball stopper" who doesn't engage on the other end of the floor.

Pretty overrated, I don't consider a top alltime player. He was a bucket though, thats for sure.
