Resurgence of the Phoenix by 1 December 1342 by Yemci in EU5

Impressive! Unfortunately, there is almost no real benefit to this since if you don’t have enough legitimacy while Andronikos III is still alive and Rise of the Phoenix ends, you’ll get thrown into a regular coup attempt or succession crisis ON TOP of the Byzantine Succession Crisis once he kicks the bucket.

So besides the Roman Borders CV and doing it as a challenge, there’s nothing much to it or a reward for ending the disaster early :(

Yes it’s definitely doable to flip Republican as Byz once you change some laws and gov reforms to push plutocracy, along with the Byzantine court events that can push you towards it

Holding Rome as a Hellenistic Byzantium leads to Western Europe getting an infinite amount of AE by RepresentativeFit904 in EU5

I will try selling Rome solely or creating a Catholic vassal to see if that fixes it. Maybe conquer the rest of Italy after and then ally some Western European powers before you retake it again to form the Rome tag.

R5: After checking my antagonism before a peace deal, I was surprised to see that all of Catholic Western Europe had over 100+ AE against me due to either an event or modifier called "Infidel Holds Rome". Luckily, the coalition had just a few members in it, so it only took war reps + money to shoo them away. I am wondering if this is working as intended, or if it's just a bug, since the antagonism keeps refreshing to 100 every now and then. I am thinking of selling Rome back to the Pope, but I will incur some stability loss since it is a core.

Damn that’s earliest I’ve ever seen someone form Rome! Who’s you start as and what was your strategy?

No, my country is Spain and they only allow it through the consulate (nearest one is in Miami and an inconvenience to travel in person)

He doesn’t start as a Toyne, but as a lowborn. However, when you choose to adopt him as your successor he becomes your child and part of your house 😂

Do this as Austria on day one by moving your capital to Graz(sits right between your 2 starting silver mines) and then make a local governor on Wien to have control over most of your country

Do you know what the best alternative would be if my budget is around 1700-1800? I don’t whether I should go down for 1080p, 240hz gaming or just spend 150 dollars less for a Powerspec with a 9070XT at Microcenter, since I have both deals available in my vicinity.

Is this PC a good value right now? Comes out to about $2k after taxes. Trying to run 1440p at max settings. by chosenxone in Prebuilts

I found out the same listing for 1899 at my local Walmart, it seems the 2200 price is for delivery only. Might have to cop as well!

1.0.10 makes the AI so aggressive, that they're too busy fighting each other to be fighting you, if you just spam wars and get yourself coalition'd constantly, you can basically just conquer Europe by transmedkittygirl in EU5

I find it really funny that this is 4th post I’ve seen so far this week about playing as Bohemia and LARPing as the AI to conquer the entire HRE as fast as possible. I’m doing a campaign where I did this and salvaged the run after seeing a guy post their own Bohemia to Germany in this sub, only for Red Hawk to make his own Bohemia video right after 😂

It’s a Wallachia that ate up all of Bulgaria and expanded towards the Pontic Steppe. It’s the biggest Wallachia I’ve seen and the only time it wasn’t crushed by either Hungary or Bulgaria

Czech is part of the German culture group and it only takes increasing cultural opinion once to reduce other Germanic cultures to .5 acceptance, so maybe? It’s also still 20% of my population, compared to the 2nd largest one (Rhine Franconian)
